  • Great For 1080p lovers
Style: FHD 144Hz Size: 24.5-inch
This monitor has been amazing so far,had it for a month. The picture is better than my alienware monitor(ips model).freesync works well(don’t use very often),overall web browsing is nice but had to turn down brightness. For pc gaming the monitor is a lil bit slower than my Alienware but that’s because of 144hz vs 240hz ofc.For console gaming its amazing and for some reason on the ps4 pro I can select 4K mode even though it’s an 1080p monitor(on Alienware monitor can’t select 4K)but I’m not sure if it changes anything I notice a slight increase in sharpness making it better but could just be me.Ive been testing Hdr in Call of duty but can only see a slight difference as the picture pops a lil bit more, probably not mind blowing but a difference I notice personally. The stand is nice but I’m using vesa because of desk space. The only problem is the OSD.Scrolling through the menus feel slow and changing through modes is annoying because when you select an mode you have to open OSD again.besides the OSD this monitor is great and I’m gonna keep it alongside my Alienware for the ps5.Hopefully this helped with you decision.(P.S) there’s some minor Ips glow in the bottom left corner but I can only notice when black bars in cutscenes appear but this is expected when buying an ips panel.Ik it’s a lot more to talk about like the dci mode and etc but I haven’t got around to using those features yet. ... show more

  • A good offering
Style: FHD 144Hz Size: 24.5-inch
PROS: high refresh rate, no bezel, high brightness, IPS, good port options, sturdy stand that is easy to adjust, comes with hdmi and displayport cables, minimal backlight bleed, no dead pixels, G-Sync enabled. CONS: mediocre color and contrast (DisplayHDR 400 doesn't mean much), only 1080p. This monitor is a great fit for me. It is hard to find something this of this quality with a 1080p screen on it, which is what I was looking for. The one thing I wish it had was better color/contrast. However, the color is at least average for IPS panels, and for $280 it is worth it. Don't believe that this is an HDR display like you would normally think of HDR. All the HDR mode does is max out the brightness. It doesn't have the color or contrast to be considered HDR in my opinion. EDIT: An unexpected PRO I have found is the USB hub. It allows me to conveniently switch all my peripherals (up to 4 USB connections) from my work computer to my personal computer with only one USB cord. ... show more

  • Does exactly what it says it'll do. But there are some cautions...
Style: FHD 144Hz Size: 24.5-inch
The HDR isn't TRUE HDR. If you enable it in Windows 10 the color completely washes out. You're better off just using the HDR400 setting on the monitor menu itself. My other gripe is that it's not HDMI 2.1, so it won't give you 4K 120 FPS on a PS5 or XBOX Series X. Other than that, the onboard HDR400 creates BEAUTIFUL color and clarity. Much better than the ASUS VG245 i came from. 144hz as described. Super smooth framerates. Also, this IS a G-SYNC compatible monitor. Setting it up in nVidia control panel is no problem. Make sure you connect it to your video card via DISPLAY PORT connection. None of this works without it. Excellent monitor. Great value, bang for the buck. Took 1 star off because its not HDMI 2.1. Buy it! ... show more

  • This is the monitor for those looking to upgrade from a 60hz TN panel.
Style: FHD 144Hz Size: 24.5-inch
I’m thoroughly impressed with this monitor. I’ve been gathering parts to build my first gaming PC and decided to upgrade my old LG 60hz TN panel monitor that I’ve been using for 10 years now. When I got this monitor, I was pleasantly surprised by the brightness and color accuracy after setting it to the HDR mode (albeit it’s not “true HDR”). The adjustability of the height and tilt angles are great for almost any setup and if you need a little extra desk space. On the back of the stand there’s a pop-out hanger for a pair of headphones which I didn’t know existed until I was assembling it. The 144hz refresh rate is amazing for games especially if you’re like me and have always had a 60hz monitor. This monitor is G-Sync compatible, though still haven’t built my PC to take advantage of it so I’ll update this review in the future. I guess the only negatives I have are the built-in speakers and the controls for the onscreen display menu. The speakers sound very hollow and I’m not even an audiophile so if I could notice this then do like I did and get a pair of speakers or stick to headphones. The display menu navigation is decent enough but navigating it can be a pain when selecting display modes. If you select different modes it can kick you out of the menu having you go back and forth to reach ideal settings. Luckily, this is a minor issue as downloading the Acer Display Widget alleviates the hassle of button control. Despite those two little gripes, this monitor is near perfect and exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a -$300 1080p IPS 144hz monitor with good brightness levels and accurate colors, here you go. **Remember to update your drivers!** *Edit: If the G-Sync option is not showing up in the NVIDIA Control Panel, make sure you go into your monitor’s menu and under the Gaming tab turn on “Adaptive-Sync”. For the best results in your games with G-Sync, make sure you turn on “Vertical Sync” under the Manage 3D Settings tab in the NVIDIA Control Panel and turn off V-Sync/Vertical Sync in any in-game settings. ... show more

  • Really nice monitor
Style: FHD 144Hz Size: 24.5-inch
Bought this almost a year ago so waited to see if it was reliable. Still works great and screen has no defective pixels. It is so adjustable that you can basically make it look however you want. So to comment on the screen image makes no sense. Response time very good and have no issues with any games I've played. Running a computer with Intel i9, solid state drives, Nvideo graphics card and couple terabytes of storage. Plus my internet connection runs at over 330 Mbps. Bought this before all the price increases so feel fortunate to have done so. ... show more
