abunda_amazon_reviews We had 16 inches fall in a few hours. My carport was amazing. It was able to withstand extreme winds, heavy like extremely heavy wet snow and not a problem. I couldn’t ask for more. I started driving a special needs van in my town and it is too tall to fit in my garage. I bought this carport and it is such a dream. Thank you. Update: I live in Massachusetts and the carport survived the snow but this week we had gale winds. Trees and branches everywhere. I live in a wind tunnel that is constantly abusing my carport. It is holding strong. I make sure there is always a way for the wind to be able to go through the carport so it doesn’t have to take the full brunt of the storm. Putting the carport together took a lot of strength to make sure it was put together correctly. I also put 4 stakes on both sides to really secure it down. It has taken a serious beating and is in amazing condition. It has had large tree limbs fall on it but they just slide to the ground without ripping the material at all. Very pleased and it was worth so much to me. As a single mom I need my van to be protected during these huge storms. UPDATE: I secured my carport from the top not the bottom. It seems that if you have high winds you need to hold it down. I have strong nylon that strongly secured the carport in place. I can totally see that if you try to just bolt it down. That would do nothing. I even put my stakes in the ground 3 feet. The carport is wonderful. The owner has to take responsibility for securing it properly. Go to Home Depot buy some nylon and stakes and it will hold for you. If a 50 something year old woman can figure it out... just saying.;;Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Hold strong through anything.;;Sarah;;;I didn't have a garage to store and work on my boats so I thought this might do the trick. The measurements didn't prepare my mind for how big the carport is. As you can see I was able to fit both my little boats inside with room to spare. This carport comes with a top canopy, two sides, a front and back flap. The poles, while thin metal, are about 1 1/4" in diameter. The shipping container is large and weights about 132lbs so make arrangements for that. This isn't my first "plastic" garage. I had a homemade version back in the 90's so I'm familiar with living with a lightweight tarp carport and high winds. The little stakes that come with the garage aren't suitable for high winds. They are very good for holding the side poles in place while you set the carport up. I added my own 24" rebar stakes to each corner and tied the corners with straps. The front and back flaps are a bit of a pain to roll up and secure with the straps. I added some metal grommets and zip tied a 10' length of 3/4" PVC to the bottom of the front and back flaps. Now they roll up in a tight and tidy roll that is easy to secure with the straps. I plan on modding the sides to be able to do the same thing soon. It makes a nice gazebo when all four sides are taken off. So far it has held up well through some biblical downpours. 1"-2" of rain in a short period of time. I'm not sure about the longevity of this but it is exactly what needed right now. I do recommend this to you if you are looking for a portable garage. Just take precautions for high winds because it's a giant kite waiting to happen if you don't. If you don't add heavy duty anchors or stakes, you have no one but yourself to blame if you garage ends up in Oz. Edit, July 28, 2019: Reading some of the reviews, I don't know what people expect out of a portable plastic garage. Why people expect this to be as solid as heavy canvas or a metal building is beyond me. Due to the proactive measures I took, my garage has survived the Alabama spring. High winds, torrential rains and it's still holding up. Best $365.00 I've spent in a long time. Edit II, January 15, 2020 : A few weeks sort of a year and it's still going strong. I have since added 3/4" PVC pipe to the side so they can be rolled up and stowed. I used bungee ball straps to tie them up. I have added a 14/36 jon boat to the collection and the garage has the capacity to store it and my 16/48 project boat. I am going to wash the top and spray it down with 303 Aerospace protectant to guard against sun damage. I added four 4' LED lights and they compliment the garage well. My garage has withstood multiple attacks from high winds and storms this year. Most recently a storm with 40 mph straight line winds. My original rating was 4 stars but I bumped it up to 5 because of the performance.;;Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Excellent portable garage but take extra precautions for high winds;;B. Those little pup-tent stakes, which shipped with the unit, would have pulled out in the first 15 MPH gust of wind. And, we get big wind here. I read some reviews before I bought this, and at least one person suggested getting another set of anchors, and I'm very glad I did. The set that comes with this is definitely not meant to actually hold something down if there is any wind whatsoever. I'm impressed by the size, and it appears to be well made. Bought this to store my new used truck under to keep it out of the elements. I just placed another order for some more anchors, as I want this thing rock solid. We'll see what it does with the southwest Michigan winter. UPDATE 1/6/18 This thing so far is amazing. We're getting hammered this year with snow, and this is holding up like a brick s---house! I was using the roof rake to pull the snow off, before I realized I could simply gently push from the inside and the snow all slide right off. The zippers work smooth. I simply unzip it, and drive out, or drive in. The door just slides over my truck. No frost or snow on my truck whatsoever. The snow has built up along the sides, but other than seeing them slightly push in, its holding steady as a rock. Do yourself a favor though, and preorder some different anchors. I think I have at least 1 dozen screw in anchors, and bought ratchet straps from harbor freight to draw them tight. And make sure you put the top on with the right side up. I didn't realize (like an idiot) that it mattered, and ended up flipping it over a few days after initially putting it up. Not a big deal, just an inconvenience. Also do yourself a favor and spring for the 12 ft wide. The extra space is worth the extra cost. Will be attaching pics here soon.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Holding up awesome w Michigan winter!;;Jim

Holding up awesome w Michigan winter!
Just received this today. took around 2.5 hrs to put up by myself. Instructions were easy to follow, and parts are easy to lock together. Will be attaching pics here soon.
