I have been an avid bicycle commuter for 20+ years. The Aipas A2 (standard) is my first foray into the e-bike world. I chose this particular e-bike after exhaustive research because it had excellent reviews, it was a reasonable price, and it appeared to be a purpose built e-bike (not a bargain basement bicycle with a battery, controller, and motor strapped to it.) The ordering was a breeze. It arrived quickly and undamaged. It was easy to assemble-set up. A charge and a few tweaks of my own (slime in the tires, torque check on the fasteners, etc.) was all it took to hit the road. I have to say I am favorably impressed. It is rock solid. It is smooth as glass. It has excellent range and every amenity you could think of. It is also very powerful. I am 250+ lb weightlifter and it holds up to my weight and power like I am nothing. Unlocked, it has some freaky speed. With the motor it has, plus some steam of my own I can push north of 28 mph on a flat. The only untested quality at this point is longevity and durability. Add to this, the company is attentive and follows up with you like they want your business, not just your money. A good product at a reasonable price with good customer service is rare these days. Good job Aipas. Update 4-29-24: Still very impressed. Control screen inexplicably died. They sent a new one quick and with no hassle. Rear tire started to fail at the bead line. Again, no problem getting a replacement quickly. No other problems. Customer service is first class.

GREAT Step Thru A-2 Bikes, Built really GOOD, GREAT Price & FAST shipping , Came undamaged & was easy to assemble, we added baskets & mirrors. & water bottle holder. We really love them, there a lot of fun to ride!!! We take them camping & like to ride them around our little town & too the park, we are older 68/74 is why we wanted step thru, wife was unsure at 1st but loves it now!! I searched around quite a bit. And thought this fold-able bike would be good for me. I was worried about putting it together but was really surprised when I easily got it assembled. That was one of the major sales points for me. I had a couple of questions and customer service answered my messages quickly and accurately. They were patient with my questions (which in hindsight were pretty simple once you know the answers but they seemed like mountains to me). The bike is awesome. It took little time to get comfortable with it. But I'd only rode a Vespa before. It has enough power for me and once I was able to understand how to use Pedal Assist it became a dream machine. I like the way it looks, works and functions. Unlike some of the bigger bikes, once folded I can easily fit it in my Vanagon. I'm excited about summer and think my bike will so fun and useful. I'm a fan of the AIPAS A2 Foldable Bike and hope you find my review helpful.

Final update 5 wks after purchase: Our Aipas bike has been performing reliably. From the photos you can see we added a transport bag to the rear rack (45$ on amazon). We also bought a memory foam mat for kitchens and cut sections out to fit into the base of the racks. The battery needs charging almost every day based on the display voltage reading and the recommended charging, but my wife (130lbs) rides it approximately 10-15 miles per day at the highest speed (28mph). Sturdy bike overall, has endured some light rain without issues. No regrets with this purchase over the Lectric XP alternative that we were considering. I like the front suspension on this one better whenever I ride it, but we had to buy a new seat and spring loaded seat post as the stock seat is uncomfortable and the post really does need some shock absorbing capacity when riding that fast on a bicycle. I should mention that I almost always have to buy new seats regardless of the bike I purchase. Same goes for my wife. Update 3.5 weeks after purchase: Customer service was quick to respond but shipped a new screen out to me about 1 week later instead of within 2 days as promised. New screen was quick to swap out, but a bit of advice: "Do NOT" cancel the return until you have installed the new part. They will ask you multiple times to cancel the return request, but this removes your leverage as a buyer. Original review: This bike functions even with the broken screen, but the seller and Amazon make it so you cannot just replace a single broken part. Instead, you are forced to repackage the bike and return it, then buy it again and pray you don't have the same issue. Mind you the package is 80lbs and doesn't fit in our only car... My wife and I both really like the bike, but ours unfortunately arrived damaged (only the screen display though!). The packaging engineer messed up on protecting the screen display during transit. 4 stars for now, waiting to hear back from Aipas customer service after sending them an email with pictures.
