abunda_amazon_reviews this light is very bright for my needs. it has a variable knob on the side to control the light intensity and the filters witch are magnetic you can change quickly to customize the lighting you need.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;this light is very bright for my needs. it ...;;Gerald Griffin;;;UPDATE 11.21.18, I missed the adjustable brightness dial, so THERES NOTHING THIS SMALLISH LED DOESN’T HAVE !! Excellent brightness, compact size more than adequate for mobile cinema, video. Build quality,( note I assume my opinion is understood to be based on price description, etc) is very good. I attached mine to a cage rig, on the right side coldshoe, (iPhoneX camera left side, landscape. I first demoed it in total darkness, in my living room, only faint TV light on. My Bully(11mo old Pup) is Black & White, her colors rendered excellent (which is hard for a cell camera), and while it was very bright it didn’t cause any shyness with her. I think that’s an important point, because in my 25 yrs, I’ve learned video lights can be bright, overpoweringly bright. Being bright that’s easy, but to have high illumination with low distraction is harder. You don’t want your subjects A. Overpowered, B. Interfere with their ability to look at camera {note* the magnetic covers, clear and light orange, work fast and hold well. Orange also works as a good soft light at night if the dimmer isn’t a clear answer. Also daytime shooting, **it adds a very cool vintage, or cinematic look if you use it (orange diffuser), properly. There is little illumination difference, but the diffused orange is really just a soft natural looking feel.} again updated 11.21.18, w/ the dimmer dial on the side you should be able to hit any needed illumination, or fill in lighting required. So the 2 most important areas of filming video, illumination and subject engagement are both handle well. I actual added an extension on this led and filmed full HD, on my full frame HDSLR, attaching it high and forward from the body, I got sufficient light for shooting at 6’ and under **mobile will get farther capability because of the nature of the way the camera exposes at night. So for mobile use, it gives off as much power as (IMHO) any useable light. There is easily a point where the light can be too much, I got there easily, with a dedicated mono light. Conclusion: this AA battery powered adjustable level power LED light, for mobile photography is a great value. You’ll get interchangeable covers - clear, pale orange- and it attaches with std cold shoe thumb screw, that tightens down. So these magnetic covers, adding a sticky gel ND Style filter( or ‘gels’ inside the cover), will certainly dim your output equally as well. Any professional shooter uses nd gels on speedlights, and they adjust by 1/4, or 1/3rd values, so manual adjustement is always part of process, if your that concerned. I recommend this if it fits your budget,( which I must say is remarkably affordable for LED’s this Size, & POWER: there are cheaper options but look close they are smaller, or far less powerful. Which is the purpose of reviews, to inform you of these minor but important details ). So again for your budget if it fits, this is an easy A+ buy from me.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Top Adjustable Pwr, budget LED’s A+Recommend.;;Michael Hacking, Lifegiant-Media;;;I'm really just a pro-novice photographer and getting started into YouTube creations and live streaming, so I wanted to get a small light kit that will put out some decent brightness. For less than $20, I thought this would be great, seeing that I've been using a cheap LED ring light as my light source for things, and a poor-man's diffuser using bowls and tin foil. Well this light, at first was impressive. I had rechargeable AA's, so I thought that was perfect! However, being 98 LED's, it was actually not as bright as my 20LED ring light, and that thing is super duper bright. One of the issues I'm having is the brightness wheel. It's analog, so it will flicker during adjustments. And if I leave it alone, it will immediately dim significantly where I would need to play with the dial to get it a full brightness. I might use it as a key light, I'm on the fence about it, and I'll keep an eye on the wheel because I'm not liking how it just gets darker on it's own while using a power outlet.;;Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2019;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;You get what you pay for, but I'm on the fence on this one.;;Groovdafied;;;Light good very bright make light in dark room or outside short distance how. Build quality is a little cheap, shoe mount can get a little loose, getting to the minimum brightness isn't as easy as turning down the knob all the way down. There is a lot of play to where it's completely off or dim so it takes some fine-tuning. Be aware of the micro USB placement, its on the bottom. Take that into consideration when planning how you are going to use this. I, for example, had no room when mounted on my a6300 with a small rig cage. My workaround was a small extender and an angled USB cable. It's light (pun intended) and it is very bright for its size. It leaves a lot to be desired but for the price point, I can't complain.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2019;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Great but not perfect;;GRG101;;;Wow! Good little light for the money
It's very bright for a smaller area, about 10-15ft. The magnet color covers are convenient and clever. That way you don't have extra things to pack or forget. The dimmer switch is a nice unexpected feature. There's a micro USB port where you can power this through a USB wall plug, 12v USB plug, or a power bank, in addition to four AA batteries. You can mount this light either on a cold/hot shoe mount, or screw it onto a tripod. This little light has a lot of flexibility. It's great for the price. Edit: With a set of fully charged AA batteries, the light lasts about 1hr on the brightest setting.

Great but not perfect
Good but not perfect. however, it is pretty much what I expected at this price point. It leaves a lot to be desired but for the price point, I can't complain.

Amazing light output and quality!
Wow! This is a lifesaver! Yesterday i used this on a light stand and it added the perfect amount of light to a subject on an indoor shoot. I will buy at least one more! the only problem is they would not mail me the version that includes a battery. That sucks!
