  • Great if you get a good one

3 stars for the power supply, 2 more stars for service. I have 2, one melted the sata cable, it was still rap and got hot where the wire touch each another not good, they replaced it fast. I just got another and it died after 48hrs of PC stress test, CPU and GPU, they refunded day after it was shipped. They have a new line power supplies out, I'll check it out to see if they got the bugs out. As long as you get good service it's worth the risk. I'm a system Builder ... show more

  • Ordered 2 or 3 of these, they are going strong!

I have been using these Aresgame PSUs for almost a year in my main and spare computers at least a few times a week for hours non-stop. I was very curious and quite skeptical for the special price of $21.99 for the 500W bronze model (when it was 50% off), and the astounding price for this 850W gold model. Fortunately, they are working as expected per this review. They also feel and seem to be decent quality. I am actually starting to recommend these power supplies. One of the machines is a n i7-870 system, with a 256 GB TeamGroup SSD, a 4 GB GTX 960, and an ASUS P7H55-M Pro LGA 1156 motherboard. It's being used as the living room gaming PC that's hooked up to the TV. Works great under heavy gaming loads. As heavy as gaming can get with a GTX 960 and an i7-870 anyways. I recommend these power supplies, especially for the value and performance. Having bought their 850 Watt Gold semi-modular version, the AGS850, that has been running great in my main PC desktop for almost a year now. It has a Ryzen 5600X, 2 x 1 TB TeamGroup SSDs, 1 x 2 TB Seagate Barracuda HDD, a Gigabyte B550M AORUS PRO-P motherboard, 2 x 16 GB TeamGroup T-Force Vulkan RAM, and an AMD 6700 XT GigaByte Eagle graphics card, I trust these power supplies enough to buy them wholeheartedly. ... show more

  • Easy Install / Great product
Style: AGS850
My old power supply was only 600W and as I use my computer as a music studio, I now have 6 hard drives in it, 3 External hard drives, and a DVD writer, one high end video card as well as 2 cameras, 4 monitors, an audio interface, a synth an external audio interface and an external production controller. Needless to say, my poor 600w power supply started to cry and wanted to look for an easier job. So, I got this new one. Never had a semi modular before, and I really like it. I would have gone totally modular, but there was no point, since I had to use everything from the attached cable anyway....so why pay the extra $$ for the option to have a removeable cable when I had to use that cable anyway. The only thing I wish, and I did NOT mark off any stars because it's not their fault really, I was one SATA connection short, but that will be solved by a SATA power splitter that will arrive on Monday. This power supply is actually QUIETER than my previous one...by quite a bit. It was also quite easy to install. Everything was labeled. The PCIe connectors are 8 pin, but can be adjusted to 6 pin, and the 8 pin CPU and split and become 2 4 pin connectors. It's really a perfect power supply for just about any configuration. It even comes with a floppy power connector. What's a floppy, right? ... show more

  • Amazing (With) Every Way
Style: AGS850
The media could not be loaded. I was having trouble using a lot of adobe software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc... While I was trying to render videos and big projects my computer would just turn off which gave me the idea (since I upgraded all my components CPU: i9-10850k GPU: GTX 1060) that I completely forgot to upgrade my 500W old power supply which couldn't handle the render load the CPU required, because only my CPU (by itself) requires 250W which was half of my old power supply. So I decided to go and buy a new power supply but not end up paying from anywhere 150-250$ for an 850W power supply, then I can across this bad boy which is really beefy and can handle stress pretty well for its price I was actually surprised on how good it performs given that other big-name Power Supply "makers" milk your pockets for a brand name on a power supply that does that same job as this, I can't complain about the noise level nor can I say if it's loud or not because I don't get annoyed by sound easily and most of the time I'm either in class listening to my professor or watching a movie or playing games which makes me hear nothing from outside but I did include a video of my case panel open for you to get a rough idea of how much noise it makes. I would totally recommend this to anyone such as friends, family, etc... Hope this helps people to make a decision. Good luck. ... show more

  • Great Quality 4 Fantastic Price
Style: AGS850
The device comes in great packaging with all parts you need. This device is very well made - heavy with solid construction materials. It comes with a tester which you can use to test the device before installing it - this is a GREAT idea to avoid headache of installing a DOA part. I was able to get the device installed within 30 minutes of receiving it, and also took the opportunity to do some internal cable management changes. Upon booting up, everything worked fantastically. I could not hear the fan running at all - the squishing sound from my liquid CPU cooler is louder than this fan. My only complaint is that I wish the modular PCI-E connectors only had 1 plug harness, instead of having another one in-line. After running the cables to my GPU, I had to leave the unused 2nd connectors visible underneath my GPU. The distance between the end-plug and the in-line plug should be increased, or simply remove the in-line plug. For the price point, this is an absolutely excellent purchase. As always, be sure to carefully examine the included built-in connectors, and the available modular cables BEFORE purchasing. For me, this met every need I have and exceeded expectations. I was very happy to have my gaming PC back online! ... show more
