Lascoota or 6KU?

My 3 year old daughter watches myself and her brother (Bubby) ride boards all the time -She even grabs our boards in the house and try to ride - I looked for a scooter that would meet the following criteria - 1. Had to turn by using the deck, not the handle bars 2. had to grow with her 3. needed to be sturdy and stable 4. Needed to fold up for carrying in the car 5. had to have light up wheels 6. needed to be at least 4 star reviews with more than 100 reviews. I ordered the first one (lascoota) that had a seat as well, after I purchased, I realized it didn't fold, so I found this one and it hit all boxes, so I ordered it too. I did that to compare them. So, for you parents, aunt, uncles or any of you buying for a child, listen up - The lascoota is like a Ferrari. Fast, sleek, nimble and light. Nothing to really dislike except it didn't fold. The 6KU was like a rolls Royce, heavier, sturdy, stable and still fast. The wheels are wider, the deck is wider, the brakes are better and it folds. It really came down to this - The 6ku looks and feels better - I think its a much better intro scooter - I am returning the Lascoota tomorrow if that says anything. They are both nice, but in the long run, I think you get more for your money and your little one will build confidence faster with the 6KU - I hope this helps - Have fun, stay young, and try something this year you have always been afraid of - Life is too short!

So easy and well made

This scooter is amazing! This is the 3rd style scooter I have bought for my kids and it is FAR superior to either of the others. It moves so intrinsically with them that they found it much easier to use. Which means less tumbles and tears! Within 2 minutes even my two year old was a scooter master. And even better, they will grow with them! Since they fold up so well, we recently took them with us on vacation. So when we wanted to walk to dinner the kids could scoot along with us and had a grand old time. Highly, highly recommend!

Best execution of a 3 wheeled scooter yet!

We got the red one for our 5 year old. He saw some other kids riding similar 3 wheel scooters, and got to try using one. He immediately loved it, and asked for one of his own, plus a helmet and pads. I looked through a few models on Amazon, and settled on this one as a crowd sourced favorite. Upon arrival, it did not disappoint. This scooter has some really good innovations that the others did not feature: 1) Easy to fold-up design. You just pull a little spring-loaded safety stop lever that is located beneath the front wheels. The location safely prevents the rider from causing the scooter to fold while using it. 2) Height adjustment. The other scooters I saw had a simple lever that applied crush force to the steering bar center pole to lock it in place. It also applied crush force to my fingers as I tried to engage it. Ouch. This scooter uses detent holes and a spring loaded pin for several height adjustments, plus a twist ring to lock it all down. Very easy to use repeatedly, should you be sharing this scooter with several kids off different ages. 3) Flashing wheels! All three wheels have gorgeous LED lights inside that engage with centripetal force when they spin. I know the lights won't last forever, but they should last quite a while. They look really cool. It's a very sturdy scooter, with a rated weight limit of 110 lbs. So dads, stay off it! You'll have to find your own, haha. The only little thing that I noticed, is the non-slip foot steps are adhered on. And the stickers look like they want to peel up from the small tips. I'll just use some shoe glue on those. If you're unfamiliar with these 3 wheel scooters, they're really intuitive for kids. The front two wheels add stability to the scooter, and the wheels turn in unison when the rider leans sideways on the handle bar. The back wheel has a brake on top, so the rider can get up to speed with one foot in front, then rest the toe of the other foot behind, with their heel over this brake. This is a sharp-looking scooter, with a great design. The construction is sturdy, the design is excellent, and the paint color is deep and shiny - I'd say it's automotive grade. We are super-pleased with our purchase!

Best scooters on the block!

We purchased 2 of these scooters for our kids (3 and 4.5). They are seriously the most sturdy scooters I've seen. The light up wheels are an added advantage over other brands. I wanted the 3 wheel scooter to aid the kids in learning how to balance. My husband is an avid skateboarder and I a snowboarder these scooters are helping the kids learn the basics for both our sports! The learning curve is minimal because of the big wheels. The kids can go up and down curbs and pavement with ease. Stoked on this purchase!

My kids LOVED IT!!!

My kids are very active so my wife and I needed a toy that they can both use when we’re on the go. My daughter, the eldest is much taller so the adjustable T bar is awesome, and with the different colors it’s easy to distinguish (no jealousy) lol! My younger son Zack is a monster when it comes to toys. But this scooter is built like a tank and he loves it! Great surspirse for our summer trips, keeps the kids occupied all day while my wife and I get to kick back and bar bq at the lake!

Comfortable, safe, the neighbor's kids loved these

I bought this for my sister's children. It was so easy to setup the handlebar height, within an instant the kids were comfortable and in control riding around the neighborhood. The kids loved how the lights in the wheels lit up when they spun, but we soon realized it could also be an added safety feature with people and vehicles having visibility on them! Overall, the scooter is sturdy and the kids have a blast on these almost everyday. I think the neighborhood kids want to get some of these scooters too.
