These are decent little binoculars for the cheap price. However I’d like to know how the manufacturer came up with 200X magnification. I have a more expensive much larger binoculars that are 16x and the magnification is much higher on those binoculars. Just guessing I’d say the these are closer to 8-10x power instead of 200. 1st # is the magnification power. 2nd # is objective lens size, referred to as aperture & how much light can enter the lenses. Again, they are decent binoculars for the cheap price, but I would venture to say that’s gross false advertisement to say 200 times magnification. I’m still keeping them for sporting events that are not far away. They are very light weight to carry. I am happy with the binoculars just very disappointed in the 200x clams! ... show more

I received my new binoculars today, eager to try them out on the birds and bringing the planets and odd things in the sky just a bit closer as it's blurry to the naked eye. But I don't need glasses. The expectation wasn't the most bells and whistles in the world. However, you do expect a product to be clean upon arrival. These binoculars look like they may have been used by another party or left out in a factory before packaging. I'm going to have to clean between all the connections and the eyepieces. It looks like sawdust or something is on those. I'm not sure if the lenses are scratched or not. but I don't have a clear vision through them like I should for a new pair of binoculars. ... show more
