abunda_amazon_reviews On Sunday my 40mm Apple Watch Series 5 arrived from Amazon and I was so excited to get started. I’m sad to say after two days of testing, I’m sending this puppy back. What a miserable waste of $384. Here below is my full review. No native sleep monitoring app? I thought it would be a “given.” It’s not. What garbage. I first tested it with my Bluetooth earbuds playing Pandora. The app froze and either showed a continuous spinning white whirl, or the Pandora song title that played 4 songs ago. I charged it up the first night, slept in it, and the next day it was dead by lunch time. Wow. Not even lasting one full day! Pathetic. I didn’t even run any daytime apps or try to use the onboard texting features. I hadn’t even tried walkie talkie yet! Night 2: at 9:50 my watch told me to get up and Stand! Wow. A little late for that. I installed Pillow App, fully charged the Apple Watch, and ran the Pillow app for data overnight. Day 2: I woke up with 75% battery life. Although I could uninstall most apps, the Apple News app refuses to uninstall off the Apple Watch. I had to uninstall it from my iPhone to get rid of it. Other apps can be mirrored from the phone but later uninstalled from the Watch, so why not Apple News? The Apple Watch needs a nighttime setting to sleep so that people can wear it to measure their sleep. Instead, there is a “theatre mode.” I sleep more than go to the theatre. Maybe they should just call that setting SLEEP? Right. Anyway, the battery life is a real killer for me. I also assumed that the health app would be robust enough to handle monitoring sleep. Apparently Apple Watch assumes users won’t wear it to bed because they are CHARGING it. Horrible garbage. Do not buy it! And I haven’t even tried working out with it....;;Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2019;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;No Sleep App! It counts steps. I do little things so far like parking the car farther down in the lot and the little things add up. I highly recommend this watch. No manual but easy to figure out. YouTube and Google search for the hard questions. Edit: my old watch was 38 mm. The new one is 40 mm. The smaller bands will fit on a 40 or 42. I had a nice collection of 38 bands.
