After reading reviews on this product, I was worried about putting it together. I procrastinated for over a month and left it in the box. I just put it together this week, and it was wonderful! All of the parts are numbered, there's even a ratchet tool included to help with putting in the screws. The parts are bundled by which section they're in, which also makes it easier to sort things out. I put it together by myself in a couple of hours. The pictures show you which area you're working on, the numbers line up great. I bought it mostly for the price, but it's really solid metal, and it looks just like the picture, and is really sturdy. This daybed was bought to replace a crib in the room where our toddler grandson stays overnight when visiting. I needed something sturdy that would not topple or move. I also wanted something that was adult sized and allowed the room to be easily converted if it was needed for adult guests. This has been perfect! I have no fear of the toddler rolls off the top bed onto the bottom or off the bottom onto the carpet. It is plenty long and wide to sleep two adults, one on each bed. Not one bit of moving occurs. Given the relatively low price, I wasn't sure what to expect and have to reading some of the negative reviews. My expectations were not great. I was pleasantly surprised that everything was packaged nicely and neatly labeled with numbers to ease in assembly. Though I wouldn't call it a beefy bed. It's far from flimsy. The pieces went together very smoothly and given the excellent labeling, it was very easy to put together. I really appreciate that. The manufacturer even included a ratchet which made my life so much easier. For those that didn't like the instructions (I thought they were fine) They include a link to a video. That video shows in detail all the pieces being assembled. Not sure it could have been much simpler. The manufacturer even added extra bolts in case you would need them in the future though I don't really know what scenario that would be the case. To me it just shows that they care about the customer and are willing to go the extra mile. I was pleased with the end result. The only thing I would have wished is at the 90° angle at the end of the handrails was curved. I don't think I'll be bumping into them but somebody might and that would put a bruise on you. I really like this bed. My daughter and family from Arkansas visited me for Christmas and I had a place for everyone to sleep. I suppose one person could put it together but my sister and I put this together and it was pretty simple. We are in our 70’s and 80’s, so if we can do it, surely anyone can. The only problem I had was I should have purchased an 8 inch mattress For the bottom instead of a 10 inch it’s almost too big to slide under there. I purchased this bed for sleepovers with my nieces and nephew. I have slept on it a few times as well. The bed is great! Instructions call for a two person assembly team; however, I assembled it on my own. The instructions were straightforward using a numbering systems. You simply match the numbers on the corresponding pieces. I have a 10-inch mattress on top and an 8-inch mattress on the bottom. This daybed and trundle are very sturdy and relatively easy to put together (read the instructions carefully). Two things could make it even better. First, the description should say what thickness the trundle mattress could be. I purchased a six inch mattress, and it could have been thicker. The second thing that could be improved is the stickers to indicate where pieces are joined. They are old school adhesive stickers, and when removed you have to spend lots of time cleaning off the adhesive from the bed. Vinyl stickers or low tack would be much easier. Got this set for our new blended family when my partners kiddo comes to stay with us. Works beautifully and they were so excited to have their own bed to pull out without sacrificing space for all their toys. We didn’t want bunk beds cause the kiddos are crazy so this was a great purchase while they’re still in there hoard of toys phase. I do wish it popped up like old school trundle beds I had as a kid but doesn’t take away from functionality. We have had no problems with the wheels like others have stated.
