I don’t normally write reviews for products, but this sound system has really blown me away and I feel compelled to share my experience. I am so far very pleased with this product. Yamaha is a reputable brand and right off the bat you can trust that you’re receiving a solid product for the price you pay. It’s a costly setup but quality from this brand is on par with what you pay. Setup was easy enough. It took about an hour and a half to get everything unboxed, wires ran, speakers set, etc. The AV receiver is bigger than I thought it would be! Due to the way my room is set up, I anticipated not having enough speaker wire provided in the box and had to use a bit more. Amazon has cheap 16 gauge wire that you can pick up if you have to do some longer runs. Firing up the unit and testing each speaker was easy enough. The magic really happened when I plugged in my devices and started testing different songs, movies, and video games. I’m amazed by the crisp sounds and deep bass this unit can produce. It really feels like you’re at the movies! The surround sound helps video games feel atmospheric. With all the different presets available, you can customize the audio to fit the medium you’re playing. What really blew me away was the subwoofer. I can feel the bass in my chest and it is such a cool feeling. Bass notes are deep and rich, and explosions rattle the room, placing you directly in the action. If you’re looking for a true home cinema setup, look no further than this Yamaha sound system. Don’t cut corners with a sound bar if you can afford it. This thing is the real deal! ... show more

    • Excellent Sound Quality
This home theater system was even more than I expected. Although there are many various sound settings that I may never use the overall operation of the system is quite simple. This is an upgrade from a less powerful system and the difference is day and night. The speakers sound fantastic, but they appear to be of less quality than the amplifier/receiver unit. I have had no problems with vibrations and like I said, they sound solid. The system is working great with the HDMI connection to the TV. It fires up on que and delivers without ever cutting out or acting stupid like my old setup. The sub-woofer is a real treat. It is self-powered and adds a dimension to the sound that was lacking before. I would highly recommend this over any less powered systems or sound bars. ... show more

Great product which brings full value to the money. Setup - Easy AVR : Great with plenty of options to connect to TV, Bluetooth, OFC, USB, HDMI...etc Sound : Plenty of sound options to customize from. Love this Overall a great product for an amazing sound quality. Cons : The speakers (not the subwoofer) are really light weight and the fabric cover looks cheap and not made with a good quality. Very easy to setup... The microphone makes adjusting the sound balance completely idiot proof. The audio is crisp and that sub hits hard 😳 I got this on sale for $400, and there's no setup that could even come close on bang for buck. You could spend 10x as much and have a system that only the snootiest of audiophiles could tell the difference from this one. ... show more

I would recommend this product to anyone. Sound quality is awesome and that is at any volume. It could just about go anywhere because of the size. Very nice product for the the cost.

I’m a huge fan of Yamaha products. They make so many different types of things it makes incredible engineering talent. This is no exception. Well made speakers. Full function receiver. Excellent price for what you get.

I have my living room in my basement. Not a large room, but every movie I have watched since setting it up has been immensely better. Easier to immerse in, easier to focus. Modern or digitally recorded music is amazing. Standard stereo, form. Classic bands or recording studios are also very good. Be sure to follow to setup instructions to the T! ... show more

Great investment will beat any cinema theater hands down. Will take 1-2 hours to set up. I'm recommend "5 ch Stereo" program for movies/tv...I'm was upset due barely can hear dialogues and sudden has high volume on movie music and effects, correct sound program need to be chosen. Cons: Cheap speaker wire included (but do the work), no speaker wall mounts. No HDMI cable. ... show more
