I sent to my granddaughter for her third birthday and watched her open this on FaceTime. She caught on to how this worked immediately and seemed to love it. She knows her letters and loves puzzles. This is small enough and self contained and will be suitable for car travel.

I LOVE the concept of this toy! However, the execution was done SO poorly… there are 26 letter “knobs”, if you will, and not all 26 letters. There’s no j, v,w,x,y,or z. The last 4 or five I can maybe see the significance in not including (maybe not y because that’s sometimes a vowel), BUT THEY INCLUDED Q!! No J, which is in SEVERAL 3 letter words but a q which litterally exsists in exactly 0 three letter words.. my mom brain in dumbfounded.. 🤦♀️ In other news it’s solidly built and will mostly function for its intended use but… I’m not impressed.. it has the making of a potentially awesome learning tool for young kids unfortunately with some major flaws in its design. These are nice and good for kids. They are worth purchasing but nite there are a few minor issues. Some of the paint is wearing off of a few letters. This is expected with usage and not upon receiving. Since little kids could use them, it seems the letters would be a little larger. Though not needed, it would be a perk if letters were on both sides. It would also be nice to have another slot for the card to sit higher to show the letters. That would allow kids starting to spell to 1st spell the hide the letters to spell on their own. ... show more

I run a home daycare with lovies ranging in age from 12 months to 5 years old. This activity has been great. The kids like the cards and blocks separate but also like learning how to use them together as intended. I really like it.

This is a nice compact Montessori spelling set. I like that the cards contain more challenging options than most of these kinds of sets which tend to focus on simple short-vowel words. They are all capital letters, which isn't my favorite, but it's acceptable.

I ordered this to start practicing reading and spelling with my 26 month old grandson. He showed interest in it immediately upon opening. What I am most impressed about is the overall quality! The little wood letters are smooth and well polished. The wood block that holds the flash card is well made and does not have any sharp edges for young fingers. Everything is well polished. The flash cards are thick and have been laminated. I like this because they will hold up for some time. We are excited to use this learning tool even for our two year old. I think the box says for a 36 month child but there is no reason why this can’t be used by a younger child. Great buy! Very happy with this item!! ... show more
