The media could not be loaded. Not easy to put together. Need tape to secure in place while putting this together and screwing the screws in. I used wood glue . Also, there are only screw holes in one panel. The second panel has none and the wood is pretty dry and brittle. It’s very cute but, putting it together is not. ... show more

Looks good, relatively easy to put together, but may need another person to help so corners are lined up perfectly before screwing into the sides. There are no pre-drilled holes, so it requires a keen eye before screwing it in.

Box is solid wood but very light weight. Easy to assemble but the included screwdriver is short and will not give you enough torque so get a regular Phillips head from your tool box. I started the self-drilling screws by hand and finished tightening with my drill. The box is smaller than I envisioned. First off, I’m a woman in her 60s with not very strong hands but I have also assembled furniture kits most of my life and I’ve learned that most directions included in these kits stink. The best way to assemble this box is to use painters tape and put the pieces together and secure with the tape. This allows you to line up the pieces. Position the box so the screw holes are facing up. Use your free hand to hold the corners in position while you bear down to penetrate the receiving board and screw into place, inserting a screw into the lower corners on each side. This allows you to line up the screws at the correct angle. Next, do the screws on the top corners, making sure the line up each board then finish with remaining center screws. Start to finish, it took me 15 minutes to assemble including taping time. CAREFULLY remove the painters tape so as not to damage the finish. I wasn’t careful with one piece of tape and pulled off a tiny splinter of wood but I easily touched it up with a furniture touch up marker. I bought this to put a rustic style Christmas tree base into that has a 9 inch diameter metal plate to make the tree taller than the 6 foot current height.
