I am 5’4 and 148 pounds. I usually wear a medium, sometimes a large. I got this in a large. A medium wouldn’t have worked. Looks really cute and is soft and comfortable. It is cropped so if you want something that goes below the hips this doesn’t.

The material is well made. I’m a true medium but this was a little snug to begin with although I did keep it because it was a very well made sweatshirt. Unfortunately it shrunk more than I had hoped after the first wash.
