Needed a new battery for 2019 VW Jetta; would not start without a jump. Saw this battery on Amazon with very good reviews and a low discounted price, and decided to buy one and change the battery myself. Watched video on how to DIY. Battery was received in a couple of days in a well packaged, styrofoam protected box. Battery was new and a perfect fit for the old Jetta battery; did need a bit of an effort to push or slide the battery into the battery holder, but after it went in, bracket and screw fit perfectly. Ive had a lot of problems getting my car started on the old led acid batter so I decided to try this out, despite it not being a perfect fit. 2008 Suzuki SX4 wich is supposed to be Group Size 24, so this is slightly longer than the OE battery tray so without some modification it leans slightly. Not too much of an issue, cables still fit without modification. This battery can give quite a number of long cranks without dying. very impressed with it considering the price. I work in a shop so I tested it after a quick charge post many many cranks on a compression test. Tests above rating and 13 volts. Good buy. Also, battery is shipped in very secure all-side thick foam in box. Package handlers will have to try really hard to damage it in transit. ... show more

    • I Moved Up to an AGM
My FLA battery was 6 years old and it was not holding a charge any longer. My meter told me that the alternator was working. After looking at the brick and mortar store for a replacement, I was shocked by the prices for FLA batteries. That caused me to go off to the internet and look around. As expected, the prices were better. As I searched, I encountered Weize and their AGM that fit my car. Because I did not know anything about them, started looking at reviews. The reviews of their products were satisfactory and when there seemed to be a problem, the manufacturer indicated that they were ready to stand by their product. The price was excellent. Shipping was free and occurred as stated. The battery arrived with more than 12.6 volts. Charging was not necessary. The battery fit the OEM carrier perfectly. I have had the battery in the car for more than a week with no issues. To sum it up, the price was excellent, the shipping went as stated, the packaging was well suited such a heavy item, and the instructions were clear. The only thing I can't answer to is longevity. AGM should last longer than their FLA cousins. The unit is warranted for three years. I expect this one to last 5 to 7 years. Only time will tell. ... show more

The battery arrived at about 85% charge and with my charger I had it to 100% in about half an hour. It fits perfectly in my Fiat 500 and seems to work fine. I'll update the review if I have any problems. But I don't expect any. Seems well made.

    • Great replacement battery.
Physically this AGM battery is not as large as the standard lead-acid liquid battery it replaced in my Volvo XC70, but it has more cold cranking power and the same AH as the car's original battery from Volvo. So - smaller size, less weight, but more powerful. It came charged to 12.7V, which is 60% of it's full charge according to my battery charger. It had plenty of power to start the car and I'm sure it will be fully charged in a few days of errands. It came very well boxed and arrived two days early. It was a great buy at $155, but I missed a sale at $124 by one day. I'm not complaining, but check CamelCamelCamel to see how often it goes on sale and if you can wait. It has been going on sale every few weeks for a long while. It had a lifting handle that made installation easy, So start to finish it took 15 minutes to replace my old battery, which I will take to a local shop for disposal. I'm very happy with the battery and recommend this company and battery. Edit: I mentioned to the seller that I had missed the sale by one day and they gave me a $15 refund. It's an AGM battery at a great price - I haven't installed it but it's appearance is high quality, and I've spent a couple decades of my younger years doing mobile electronics and I bought this battery very much "on purpose", for the AGM benefits. What really surprised me was how well it was packaged. It's heavy duty cardboard with really thick, dense plastic foam, and had a plastic bag as well. I was impressed enough to take the picture. If you do your research, you will find out that there are only 2 or 3 companies that make these AGM batteries. They all seem reputable enough, so go with the lower priced option like this Weize Platinum battery. It has been working fine, fits perfectly, has the venting ports on either side and is otherwise identical to any other Duralast, AC Delco, Varta, Everstart, etc. 36 month warranty is on par with the big box auto parts store and they don't charge a core fee, so you can actually take your old battery to your local auto parts store and actually get a $10 or $15 store credit for recycling. It's a win-win situation and the seller communicates well when you have a question. Highly recommended and will be using this brand on the Bimmer as well. ... show more
