The Charleston Chirp bedding collection is a perfect example of Waverly's old- world tradition, classic styling, and clean, contemporary fashion. The bedding design features branches of roses, tulips, and dianthus with beautifully placed wrens accented in a gentle palette of papaya, sage green, orange rust, eggshell blue, and lavender on a soft vanilla ground. The all-over nature print is further enhanced by vertical stitched quilting and finished with a coordinating self-piping decorative trim to match the stripe reverse. Versatile, stripe to floral reversible quilt allows you to change your look in seconds for the perfect bedroom retreat. Coordinating reversible shams and vertical stripe bed skirt are included in the quilt set. Quilted shams feature a 3" scalloped flange with stripe accent self-piping. Standard sham measures 21" x 26", and king sham measures 21" x 36". The bed skirt offers a 15" drop. Coordinating, decorative quilted 20" square pillow sold separately. This is a very pretty set. I have a double bed, and it fits great! The only problem I have is finding pillows to fill out the shams properly. One pillow doesn't fill it well at all, but two pillows makes it so full the pillows won't stand up. If anyone has any advice about filling pillow shams, I'd love to know the correct way to do it. I can't seem to find the right size, even after searching the web for a couple hours at least. But the set itself is wonderful! ... show more

I love the colors and Design of this quilt. It is very lightweight and would be good for warmer climates. The only problem I had was with the pillow shams. They were too thin and look limp even after ironing.

    • Lightweight Set Great for Year-Round Use

I'm a Waverly fan and I've been looking for a lightweight quilt for some time now. Fortunately I finally found one with the Charleston Chirp set. Its colors are more vibrant than the photos, however I am pleased with them and the pattern. There's a lot color variation, so it could be paired with other solid shams or dust ruffle if preferred. I've already got some cable knit euro shams and a throw that match the red in the set exactly. I like that it's 100% cotton and can be washed as needed. I washed it on cold, delicate cycle upon arrival and only put it in the dryer on low for about 15 minutes. Then I hung it up to dry while still damp. The dust ruffle and shams needed to be ironed, but it didn't take too long. There was no shrinkage and washing it softened it a bit. This is 6 inches too wide for a full size bed. You'll trip over the bed skirt and the quilt hangs over the beds kirt too long. It looks like a child in an oversized shirt. It is the same as trying to buy shoes marked 7/8 - when you wear a definite size 7. It is pretty and would look nice on a regular queen size bed. And it appears to be good quality. (Added after return. Valances were credited to my credit card after return - BUT quilt set was put on a gift card so I have to pay the credit card, and won't have the extra to buy a quilt set elsewhere. I was very happy with the Waverly Charleston Chirp queen size quilt set. The quality is exceptional and the colors vibrant and true to the photos accompanying the set. I must admit that having birds as part of the design is what sold this quilt set for me.
