Description

Bug Juice stain/paint additive is a contact insecticide designed to kill flying and crawling insects. It can be used on both interior and exterior surfaces. Bug Juice is odorless and will affect neither the color nor the drying time of the coating with which it is mixed. Bug Juice also lasts the lifetime of the stain or paint, which assures the prevention of bugs that come in contact with the treated logs. • Really works!
This is the second house I have used Bug Juice in the paint. Originally, only Sherwin-Williams would guarantee their paint with adding Bug Juice. This time I used Sherwin-Williams exterior stain with the Bug Juice added on cedar siding (previously sealed). I live in the woods and have wasps nesting weekly, gypsy moth caterpillars nesting, and numerous other bugs. Bug Juice was consistent with my previous experience. No more wasp nests. Kills the caterpillars. Their MSDS indicates it will not harm birds. Great stuff. Keeps the nests off the house. When adding Bug Juice, note there is an expiration from the time you add it. I followed directions and Just mixed what I could apply in 3-4 hours at a time. No odor is noticeable. ... show more

  • Works great!
Our log cabin has been plagued with bunch flies, until now. I understand they are seasonal and some years are worse than others, but our neighbors’ cabins are full of flies, we have almost none. Finally a way to control bunch flies. Thank you!

  • Seams to be working
Painted the garage walls and ceiling. Have always had spider webs building up in the corners. Used this on the white ceiling paint and light gray walls. On for a few weeks now and no signs of any spider webs. Did not alter the paint color when added.

  • Hard to tell
I've used this product for years and it's hard to tell whether it works. What I can say is that until I started dusting the carpenter bees were having a field day. What I can't say is whether it would have been worse if I hadn't used the product.

  • This stuff is a great additive for outside paint!
I have used this insecticide paint additive for many years. I use it in combination with a mold inhibitor as well. Great for exterior painting, especially where a lot of insects are present. No wasps, mud dobbers, spiders, etc. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANY SURFACES THAT PEOPLE OR PETS COME IN CONTACT WITH. It is a persistant, residual poison. Toxic! But great for the outside of a house, barn, shed, etc. It really works! ... show more

  • This is miracle juice
I recently had my whole house painted and bought 3 of these. I probably should have purchased 4, because my painter used it all up. I had to continually remind the painter to keep stirring the paint to keep it mixed in, but I didn't hover over them to make sure. I had previously used this to paint my porch ceiling over 5 years ago and never had a single spiderweb or bug infestation on it. I live in south Florida and that's rare, so I know this stuff works. On my whole house, only time will tell. ... show more

  • So far so good
I mixed this with the stain on cedar shake siding but opted not to also use it in the trim paint when recently repainted the exterior. Interesting that there are no bugs or webs on/in between the shakes, but there are on the untreated siding. Hoping this doesn't jinx it, but no woodpeckers either. Hoping it's because their food (bugs) isn't there anymore. ... show more

  • Doesn't work as advertised
I'm disappointed, it doesn't work as well as I had hoped. Spiders still like to make homes in the eaves where I painted. I wouldn't buy again. What works good is the spray Home Defender from local home improvement stores. Not to mix in paint but to spray around top & bottom of buildings, of course after a couple months need to reapply because of rains. ... show more
