Not that the dot takes up a ton of space, but it is nice to have it up off the counter where it won't get spilled on, pulled on, dropped etc. There were no instructions but if you take a second and look at it, installation should be easy.

Whoever created this needs to be promoted. No need to put nails in the wall or anything, simply roll the cord up on your echo, insert the charger into the mount and plug in. Wallah! It holds itself up and functions as a mount! Really a great idea. I guess the only thing I would change or maybe help with is sending a small cord so you wouldn't have to roll the cord up behind.
