I used this to make a few holes for spring plants. The larger one makes nice holes for 4" pots, with a little wiggling could make bigger. The smaller one is good for 2" or so holes. While it works fairly well, I found the auger was a bit unbalanced and makes the drill shake a bit more than I would have expected. It is made quite heavily, so the wobble is more pronounced than in that you get with something like a paint mixer or some of the thinner augers. Overall, it's not a bad tool. ... show more

How have I gardened all these years without this thing?! I have hard clay ground where we have just built. I expected to be disappointed with this but it was inexpensive and I needed help. This is amazing. Digs my hole so easily with the added benefit of breaking up all the soil. Love it!
