  • Unbelievable customer support!
Size: 11in 450W LCD Ceramic Wheel Forming Machine
I have to hand it to Vevor, I did NOT expect this level of customer support for something like this. If I were to just rate the product that I received, it would not be 5 stars. It had multiple issues, all of which got addressed by the support team sending me what I needed to fix them. Is it ideal? No. But this is a really cheap wheel! I bought it knowing that I'll have to invest some time to make it work for me. It had the high low-speed issue as other reviewers have mentioned. I know a little bit about electronics and was going to try adding a dimmer somewhere to fix it. But thought I'd reach out to them before I do that in case they have any suggestions. And to my surprise, they sent me the entire updated control panel which starts at the low speed of 5 (as opposed to 60 in the original panel). They also sent me a replacement belt that fixed a little bit of wobbling at high speed and new pins since one was the wrong size in the original package. Again, not ideal, especially since there were no instructions for any of these, but I'll take it any day for this price. Took me a bunch of email back and forth and a couple of hours to replace the parts, but now I have a fully functional throwing wheel at a much lower cost compared to other options. ... show more

  • Great!
Size: 11in-350W
It is a great, light weight wheel - in my view is great for beginners, as well as more seasoned potters. It is a great addition to my studio and I will be throwing a couple of vessels as soon as I set up my pottery throwing section. I still need to find bats, or make some .. I am super excited I received it in under a week and it looks fabulous! ... show more

  • It is what it is.
Size: 11inch-350W White
I have been taking pottery classes for about 3 years. I'm at a point where I want to be able to throw at home, but I don't have $1000 for a wheel. This is a good compromise. Pros: It's an affordable wheel that works. It centers up to about 4 pounds, which is plenty for beginners. Easy to reverse directions for lefties. Cons: It is small and low, about 4 inches lower than a speedball on its highest setting. It also becomes a bit unstable when centering more clay. Be prepared to brace it with your legs while centering. The foot pedal is large and clunky and feels cheap. The wheel head is grooved like a record and does not have holes for bat pins. When centering 3+ pounds, you can definitely feel the wheel slowing down under the force. Things to keep in mind: You can drill holes for bat pins. My husband is making me new risers for the legs to bring it up to about 19 inches like standard wheels. I plan on weighing the risers to bring the center of gravity down. I'll report back with how well it works. Overall I'm just thrilled to have a functioning wheel in my home. I'll continue going to the studio to make larger pieces and someday I hope to upgrade. For now, this works. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Size: 11inch-350W White
I bought this to finish handbuilt pieces and one day I thought I'd try throwing on it. Granted I've been to ceramics classes on and off. I started throwing 1-1.5 lbs and surprisingly this little wheel is pretty amazing and I threw my best ever pieces on it. Great for beginners or hobbyists . I put the legs up.on furniture stilts and it works great. ... show more

  • Useless, uncontrollable, randomly stops
Size: 10inch-350W Green
My expectations were low to begin with but I'm impressed with how awful this actually is. I knew it would need to be propped up on something to be usable. The wheel is off-center and tilted, the whole thing shakes and makes a rubbing sound when at speed. it bogs down trying to center even a pound of clay. The foot pedal is extremely inconsistent, and the touch screen is awkward to use while trying to use the wheel. the wheel has a 2-3 second delay before changing speed, it randomly stops every 10 or 20 seconds, or ramps up to full speed when trying to run it slow. Extremely disappointed. ... show more

  • Get what you pay for.
Size: 11inch-350W White
It’s loud and scrapes. Wheel is leaving black crap all over my hands and sponges. Also leaks out the bottom real bad. It was cheap so what do you expect.

  • PLEASE BUY THIS WHEEL IF YOU LOVE POTTERY AND WANT TO MAKE ART! EXCELLENT VALUE!
Size: 11inch-350W White
The media could not be loaded. Pottery has been a LIFELONG dream of mine, but has always been out of my reach for financial reasons -- who the heck can afford a $1,500 wheel, especially if you're just starting out and you have no idea how it's going to go?? Enter VEVOR -- I could barely believe my eyes when I was seeing what appeared to be, at least from a power/size aspect -- a perfectly usable brand new pottery wheel available for under $150!! I admittedly don't know what I'm doing, and have limited experience on the pricier wheels -- but I cannot for the life of me find ANY issue with this amazing wheel. The thing is built like a tank, it is thick steel and plenty heavy to stay in place -- I just centered 10lb of clay on it this morning, no problem. I do not write reviews on Amazon, but I am IN LOVE WITH THIS POTTERY WHEEL!!! VEVOR is doing (the kiln) God's work by offering such a solid product at a price that can put it in the hands of any amateur (as in -- one who pursues something out of love rather than profit or profession!! But it would sure make a nice profession!). DO NOT listen to YouTube reviews and Reddit posts of people downplaying this wheel -- I am 100% convinced they are jaded folks who are salty that they paid $1,500 for something that can be had for so, so much less money. This wheel is 450W which translates to .6 hp -- good luck getting a .5 hp Shimpo for less than a months' rent -- so I don't quite get the "it's too low powered" argument I hear often. And all of the "it's not built to last!" people are literally talking about something they do not/could not know. Heck, if it broke every year for the next decade I could keep buying new ones and still come out on top. THANK YOU THANK YOU VEVOR FOR LITERALLY MAKING MY DREAM A REALITY!! If you are even pottery-curious, this wheel is FAR too good of a value for you to pass up a chance to pursue your passion!! Thank you for the most creative 3 months of my life, and I can't wait for a lifetime more!! ... show more
