I've been very happy with this protein powder. The fact that it's Non-GMO Project Verified is a big win for me. I'm impressed it packs 30g of plant based protein and it's also Keto-friendly with just 6g of carbs. What amazed me is the inclusion of 2 billion CFUs of probiotics. I bought Vega Sport Protein Powder after doing some research about vegan protein powders and then purchasing a Vega Sport sample pack that included a berry, vanilla, and chocolate protein sample (among other things). I started with the vanilla thinking this would be the easiest flavor to incorporate into my routine which consists of a veggie/fruit smoothie for breakfast and sometimes a pre or post workout smoothie. I am not a big fan of the vanilla in my breakfast smoothie, but it's not too bad in the one I make with bananas and/or sweet potatoes, almond milk, and peanut butter powder. I think the vanilla leaves a bit of a noticeable after taste and seems to sweet in an artificial way (I can't think of a better way to describe it). That being said, I really like the chocolate in the aforementioned smoothie. It complements the peanut butter powder really well and I don't have the after taste issue I have with the vanilla. I was somewhat surprised to find that I love the berry flavored powder. Now I miss it when I make a smoothie without it. I think it helps smooth out the texture a bit (I mix my breakfast fruit/veggie smoothie with non-sweet green tea that I brew). I ran out and used some of the Vega Protein & Greens berry flavored powder (which was available at Target when I ran out while out of town). I definitely prefer the Vega Sport. I do always cut my portions in half so it's nice that the big container comes with a scoop that measures out a half portion. Adding some protein to my breakfast smoothie has helped me not be hungry before lunch. I'm a terrible morning eater, I'm just not usually hungry first thing, so having a liquid breakfast is very convenient. I'm also not an athlete per se. I chose the Vega Sport over some of the other Vega options because I have arthritis in my hip and the Vega Sport contains a number of ingredients that help with inflammation (turmeric and tart cherry are two of these) and the lack of animal proteins is beneficial too since I'm just not ready to go full vegetarian in my daily life but I am trying to limit things that can trigger my inflammation when I can. As part of my anti-inflammation eating, exercising, and weight maintenance program, Vega Sport has really been helping me. It tastes good and seems to work. I haven't been using the Vega Sport as much as a post-workout protein option as it is probably intended, but I do still think I'm getting some performance benefits from it (I use some other Vega Sport products as well). ... show more

Why make the jug so big when they only fill it 75%. Seems like such a waste of plastic. For every 4 jugs they make they could be making another one. Guess they’re more focused on making you believe you’re getting more than you really are. Funny how all these companies are focused on is public deception. Taste is good. Quality is good. If you are looking for a plant-based protein powder, I think Vega is a good way to go. It is reasonably priced, has overall good ingredients and probiotics which are a big plus for me. Just fyi, the flavor is not bold chocolate, its kind of chocolate-y + cherry flavor, which I do not mind.

I typically drink Premiere Protein and love it. The flavor is great and I love that it has 30 g of protein. I am already a vegetarian but after watching You Are What You Eat on Netflix, I decided that I need to reduce my dairy intake so I searched Amazon looking for a plant based protein that also had 30 grams of protein and low sugar and low fat. Basically I was looking for similar nutritional content to the Premier Protein. I ordered this. I use a shaker cup and I shake vigorously. It has a metal ball inside. This does not dissolve well. It has a very strong pea protein flavor that repeated on me. It was very hard to drink because the taste is not good and it's very gritty. I bought the chocolate and I was disappointed. I will use what I purchased in smoothies where I can add other flavors to mask this flavor but I will not buy this again. ... show more

This product is really great! The berry flavor is delightful and not artificial tasting at all. The 30g plant based protein is a fantastic addition to my diet too. It’s nice to have a vegan option that tastes so good. Truly an excellent product!
