Take it slow and easy and you can get 3 to 4 shaves from 1 blade. I usually use light to reflect off the blade edge to check for defects before I reuse or use the outside edge of your nail to check for chips/defects. I mainly shave by head and sideburns an beard trim up. So if you are doing a full beard removal and hair trim, i may replace, but as long as theres no issue with the blade why not? I use to run old fashioned straight blades so im accustom to checking the blade anyway before use. I mean, you cant beat 200 to 400 shaves for under 10$. I shave once a week so as long as I dont get rust on any of my stored blades, thats 48 shaves a year, so theoretically this pack of 100 blades will last 3 to 4 years. You.cant.beat.it, think of all the savings people could have if they swapped from box store disposable to learning straight razor. ... show more

I had gotten this to use as a beginner level straight razor after hearing a lot of the drawbacks of the traditional cheap disposable razors to my skin. It honestly has been a great experience, but I will say that the razor moves around a lot even when it is held down by the metal pieces and it might cause a few cuts so be extra careful! The razor does the function, however the reason why i gave it below average stars is because the joints are very loose. Meaning the arm the flaps around without any resistance and it becomes hard to maneuver. I tried to tighten but there is no way. Maybe it is just mine.
