I ordered a pair of Anker Soundcore earbuds here on Amazon that are compatible with both my PS4 and PS5 game consoles allowing me to game with wireless audio. The earbuds come with a usb C dongle which you plug into your audio source and the dongle wirelessly connect to the earbuds with a 2.4 GHz high speed low latency connection. With the PS5, its usb C port is on the front of the console right next the a usb A port. With the dongle plugged in it was blocking the usb A port which is used mainly for charging your controllers so needless to say that not being able to charge your controller while playing is not a good thing so these adapters let me use the dongle on the back of the PS5 where there are 2 additional type A ports. Problem solved! With the PS4, it being a last gen console, it doesn't have type C ports, only type A, again these adapters solved that problem. With these adapter I now have wireless audio from both consoles and I can game without annoying cords! The only thing you have to watch out for is the product title wording when you're looking for adapters. Not saying it's anyone else's fault but mine but when I went searching for adapters I initially bought the wrong ones. These adapters are usb C female to usb A male. Originally I bought the opposite - usb C male to usb A female - not what I needed! Also when you're looking for adapters, if your use case is similar to mine (audio), these adapters definitely work for audio, not all adapters do! Overall I'm very happy with these! I got a great deal on these during a Lightning Deal. They are handy so that I can use any USB-A charger in a pinch for things that came with USB-C cables. They seem to stay connected quite well, as one I'm using is on the floor getting bumped around by dogs yet remains plugged in. The only improvement I would want is a way to attach them to the cable so they're available when needed but when I HAVE an open USB-C slot I can just use the cable as normal. If you have an older computer with mostly or all Type A USB inputs, this is your ticket to using newer accessories. Technology changes quickly and the advance to Type C USB connectors is a great improvement. But even computers sold in the past four years came with standard Type A USB connections. Now, most things I purchase utilize Type C connections. Therefore these little adapters are fantastic for keeping me up to date. The Type A USB input shown in the attached photo has become a little loose over the years but this adapter fit tight which improved the connection. And now I can plug in any of my Type C accessories. They do not hinder the transfer speeds as far as I can tell, but I'm not a super geek so I can't show the technical analysis. I can and do recommend these adapters. ... show more
