I am NOT a vine reviewer. I purchased this grab bar based on other reviews. I have to say, I am really happy with it! It was extremely easy to install, you just push the peg a few times. I am using it to hold my heavy bath sheet, and while it doesn’t have a hook to hang it on, I found that if I tuck part of the towel inside the handle, it holds very well. It has been on the wall for about 2 weeks now, and is holding up great. The only thing that would make this grab bar better, is if I got it for free, like most of the reviews! ... show more

    • Super easy installation
I've been looking at the suction-attached grab bars for a while trying to figure out if one of these devices would be a good choice for my tub. Only a little support is needed for the situation at my house, so the suction grab bar appeared to make more sense (at this time) vs. a permanent bar installation. This round grab bar has a good-sized suction base (nearly 6") to help keep it stable. Installation is very easy with placing the base of this device on the designated surface, then simply pushing the button a few times until the red line is no longer visible. The device removes just as easily with a gentle tug on a rubber flap that is on the opposite side from the red line button. Once soundly attached on an acceptable surface, this temporary grab bar is very stable. I like the fact that the red line button is a safety indicator (if the red line is visible, the bar is not safe to use), so it can always be quickly checked in advance. Ensuring the surface is one that can support this device appears to be the main concern for the decision to use the suction-type grab bars. With the proper surface, this temporary grab bar model is a winner. ... show more

Works exactly as described! Helped me get into the top bunk on the autotrain. I attached it to the mirror and hoisted myself into the bunk. It is also useful as an extra grab bar in a hotel or at home. The surface has to be smooth as described. Attaches and detaches easily It's a keeper!

Some reviews say it does not hold suction. Actually it is very easy to mount and there is a button on the side you pump to maximize suction. After a few days the button comes out but all you need to pump it back again and you are good. So far I have felt secure and safe using this device

    • These are absolutely amazing!
When I saw one review that said he pulled a dent out of a fridge with one of these before installing it in the shower I knew I had to try these. I wanted the extra protection of having something to hold onto in the shower and while stepping over the tub edge and these are IT! They really stay stuck to my fiberglass shower walls and it takes like 3 days before the button indicator even pops up a little. And even when it goes all the way up and you can see the red marking, they’re still really stuck unless you pull up on the tab at the bottom. I know this because I wanted to move one over about a foot and it took about a week and a half to get it to the point where I could. The other huge pro for me is that they’re lower profile and less obvious than the ugly grab bars you usually see. ... show more

This works great- I’m becoming disabled and this is a great safety feature to use in my walk in shower. I plan to buy another one for the other wall I have. I feel much safer having this.
