This is a great addition to my other alarm kit. I already own smart window, door, and motion alarms. I was able to integrate this kit with the old setup, allowing me to secure my house completely. Everything in the kit is well-made and works great. I like how simple it was to set up. It was the same process as my other kit. You can add this to the Tuya or Smart Life app. You can create scenes and control other smart devices. When a door sensor or motion sensor senses something, you can have the alarm sound, turn on lights, turn off lights, or trigger other smart devices. You can get notifications to your phone and tablet. You can control the alarm through alexa and google Home. 2 things included with this set that was not included with the old set are the base station and fobs. If you want an alarm but dont want to pay for a real alarm system, give this a try. This kit will stay set up in my home. I would like to get another kit for vacation use when we go spend time at the cabin. I recommend this to anyone who wants security, especially if you already use Tuya or Smart Life. ... show more

    • Robust DYI Security System!
I picked up the TUGARD Smart Home Security System for a friend of mine who's been having some odd encounters as of late. In the box, you receive the security panel, 4x window/door sensors, a wireless motion sensor, 2x RFID cards, 2x remote controls, a wired siren, a USB-C cable, a charging brick, and a manual. In the manual, they place a QR code to download their Smart Life Home App, which I was incredibly surprised at because it's rated 4.7 with 700,000+ downloads! The app seems pretty robust. Once you've created an account the app begins to ask you to add your devices. Once you've got everything all dialed in the app gives you live updated monitoring where you can control pretty much everything you've installed. That, along with having the remotes, this system is extremely robust and easy to use. With the app, if anything is triggered or changed you'll instantly get a notification to your phone. Once you installed all the sensors and connected the head unit you'll then connect it to WiFi or if you want you can secure a connection through a SIM card, an option we opted not to do. The device will then recognize everything you've got connected then you'll load up the app where you'll add all your devices and you're off to the races. We live in a small < 1000 square foot two bedroom apartment. That makes it very hard to install a traditional security system that is any bit of quality. This set is different though.     • Nice, easy to install, expandable security system with app
The Tugard security system is a very easy and affordable answer to security needs of your home or office. In addition to all the included accessories, you have the flexibility to add numerous Tuya Smart items. The set up was a bit confusing if you don’t actually read the entire installation guide, so I recommend do this before attempting install. Don’t be fooled like I was, this using is not completely wireless, as you have to have the keypad base plugged into a power source all the time. The battery in the keypad is for battery backup only. The unit also has the capability of using cellular with a SIM that can be installed in the side of the keypad. I opted to use wifi and be notified via the app. Two drawbacks would be the quality of the bracket that hold the keypad base. The base has a tamper switch on the rear and if you don’t have the base sitting just right in the bracket, your alarm would be tripped. This holds true for the door sensors as well. Furthermore, once you slide the cover off the door sensors to access the battery, the cover doesn’t want to click in a locked position. Overall, this is definitely a good bang for your buck for peace of mind in security. ... show more

This is a really nice basic security system for a small house or apartment in my opinion! Since everything is wireless, it was simple to install and set up. I really like that the control panel can be connected to WiFi or by cellular using a SIM card to provide communication with the mobile app if there are any issues or activity. The color touchscreen has good video quality, is easy to read, and is very responsive. I also like that two key fob remote controls were included as well.     • Quick and Easy, Perfect for Apartments
I've been shopping for an alarm system for my oldest son's upcoming first apartment for months now, and from the listing this one looked like it ticked all the boxes: straightforward configuration, SIM compatibility for WiFi backup, hardwiring not required so no worries about power supply cuts rendering it useless, easy install so no damage to rental property, and a strong preference for Alexa compatibility. We already had the Smart Life app for some hygrometers and other devices and like it, so that was a bonus. It's an easy app to get the hang of. The included Quick Start Guide was all we needed to get up and running in our tests, but the more in-depth User's Guide is great for walking through more of the bells and whistles (being able to add up to 4 more phones for alerts is also an awesome bonus). Pairing the sensors and tags was easy and everything has worked as described following the instructions. I'm happy with it and think it makes a great starter kit for a first apartment. ... show more

This is a must as if it were being installed by professional security alarm system. This is so easy easy to do, the instructions are simple. And you can buy the necessary pieces to finish out the task of what you need done. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
