This collar was lovely. Well made, attractive and sturdy. Unfortunately, it was too small for the very small dog I bought it for. The next size up is way too wide for her. I had bought both sizes for her and my beagle, but neither are going to work. I wish they had the next size up in the same width as the extra small. Alas, they do not. I was going to send them both back but I saw where they would make a donation to rescue dogs for every one they sell, so I am going to keep them and gift them at some point or maybe some day I will have a dog they will fit. ... show more

One of my chihuahua’s gnaws on the other one’s collar until he chews through it. It’s been a few weeks now and they have shown no frays or holes. Definitely tougher than the average pet store collar. It’s hard to find tough collars like this in the tiny dog sizes.

This collar is exactly what i was looking for since my dogs old one was too easy to break out of on several occasions. It was a plastic clip in type that adjusts and would become loose and slip off or literally just pop off in times of action, it just wasnt reliable anymore so i wanted one that i knew wouldnt accidentally pop open if my dog decided to use his super strength all of a sudden. I like that its thick enough and feels durable and strong to withstand the occasional pulls and tugs especially with the belt type of closure it definetly keeps my mind at ease knowing its not going to fall off easily or slip off! Its great, but maybe not for a dog that plays rough with others or has other dogs that like to chew or hold onto their collars to guide. My dog is honestly pretty chill so it works well for him. The only thing i dont really like is that its pretty stiff, whatever its made of is not easily bent like those made of fabric material amd doesnt seem like it would soften over time either which is good in my opinion. It kind of bothers him from time to time and he scratches at it when hes got it on but its not constantly, i usually have his collar off at home so he can chill either way. Also if you have a slip on noiseless metal tag then it will stick out a bit awkwardly as well since the collar is so stiff. It looks weird but no one really sees it under all of his fur anyway and doesnt seem to bother him. So just a heads up, unless you have a hanging tag then it will be just fine. I’ve had this collar for less than a year… (8months) Within 2 months the plastic rings that keep the tab down, faded quite a bit as you can see in the picture the color changed to much lighter, originally the same color ! And now the lever of the buckle has completely broken off so it’s not usable and the hardware especially the round snaps that keep the collar secure is already quite rusty My dogs are in the ocean a lot, but I always rinse with fresh water afterwards and let them dry Ok for the price, but the BEST stinkproof, waterproof & rust proof collar I’ve ever come across is SmoochyPoochy. Worth the price as it will last a lifetime ... show more
