I just used this for a 6-day stay away from home. Pretty much, it held everything that I needed for that amount of time. Normally, I would have packed a rolling duffel and a backpack, but this held almost everything instead. The material is very sturdy. I have only used it this once, but I imagine it would hold up pretty well through a number of trips. Even stuffed, the thing remained a very manageable size. It could easily fit in an overhead compartment or maybe even under the seat in an airplane. It has a lot of back padding and is comfortable to carry even when I had it crammed full. I love that there are so many different compartments and pouches. I also really like that you can access the main compartment from both the front and back of the bag. Because of that, it really doesn't matter how you pack clothes in. You can pretty much easily access anything on top or bottom without having to pull everything out first. I really wish I had had this bag when I was traveling overseas regularly. My only complaint is that the chest strap tore up the second time I hooked it. I clipped the clasp into the buckle and pulled on the sinch strap, but the clasp came completely undone from the strap it was connected to. I don't generally use the chest strap, so this isn't a big deal, but it does seem to indicate a flaw in the manufacturing. ... show more

    • This holds a ton of stuff, has lots of compartments, and is comfortable even when heavy!

I love this one. It's large enough to have all your stuff for a weekend getaway or a camping / hiking weekend. The shoulder straps are perfect and have a strap going between them to stop them from falling off your shoulders. The backpack has built in padding to cushion your shoulders, which is really helpful. There's another wast strap at the bottom of the backpack as well. There's also two tightening straps along each side to help keep things together inside as you travel and bounce things around. All the strap going across the shoulder straps (horizontal to your chest), has a quick release and so does the waist strap. It has 10 pockets and zippered pouches for keeping things organized and balanced, a place for a laptop or tablet, and a separate compartment on the back for important papers or things you need to get to quickly, without unpacking the main area. We'll probably be using this for our carry-on luggage when we fly. I can't tell how well it will hold up over time, that's the real test. If it starts going bad, etc. , I'll update this review. If it doesn't go bad, it's one of my favorite backpacks! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Definitely one of the better travel backpacks that I've owned. I'm using it right now on an extended 14-day trip and absolutely love everything about it. The durability is definitely something that stands out, the material feels really high quality. Quantity of stuff that this thing will hold very surprising there are tons of little pockets in zippered areas to store all sorts of things. In fact there's so many little nooks and crannies I sometimes forget where I put something. So as I get used to this bag I'll have to figure out some system of remembering where I put what. But that's a good problem to have because it means I don't run out of space. It's also extremely comfortable to wear the padded back is very nice as are the shoulder straps and the waist strap. Verdict: I can definitely recommend this pack especially for the current asking price. I am substituting this for my usual North Face Pack that cost four times as much. That one has an issue with one of the pockets where it's coming apart at the stitching so I needed something quick for this trip. I may not go back to the North Face. ... show more

Overall I like this bag and seems well constructed. The small handle on top has a rectangular hard foam inner core and is not very comfortable. It may break in with some use.

This is a good travel backpack for this price ($40). It's nicely built and has ample room. It's slightly heavier though (~3 lbs) so keep that in mind. It will fit overhead cabins on most airlines. The inside has nicely separated compartments for both large and small items. The shoulder straps are nicely padded but they could've been wider for added comfort. The back portion has ample air channels to keep you from sweating. It looks like it should easily last me more than a few trips. I will update this review if I learn otherwise. ... show more
