Used on 3/4" X 3" to make judge panels for an island. Drilled 5/16" holes and installed pins. The 2 pieces of wood was NOT flush. The clamp came with instructions on how to adjust the clamp. Didn't expect I would have to adjust when new!

I purchased this to drill holes with a hand drill that needed to be centered and precisely perpendicular. In the end, that result was achieved. However, I needed to first calibrate the jig for the width of the piece I was drilling. When I next needed the same centered, perpendicular holes in a piece that was wider, I found that simply opening up the jig width didn't keep the hole centered, and I again had to calibrate the jig for the width of the new piece. It looks like the jig is engineered to stay centered as the jig's width is changed, but that doesn't happen. ... show more
