The outside is alright it’s the balled interior you want to pay attention to more. It will keep the computer safe for minor low impact. For those with a larger drop it would not protect well. It is good for putting in bag for the airport to carry on possibly stow under. I would not advise in a loose bag your getting put into the cargo of the plane. ... show more

I wanted a case that was no bigger than it needed to be for my 2021 MacBook Pro 14 — many cases are generic and for all kinds of 14" laptops, making them bigger than they need to be. As you can see by the photo, the tomtoc case fits the MBP14 perfectly - there's no extra space. In fact, you kind of have to fit the MBP into the case. That's not a bad thing though, it's what I wanted. The protection level of this case is excellent. It has the deep padding around the entire device and I believe it will do a great job protecting the laptop. The pouch on the front is a nice size, big enough for a charger, cable, and/or battery bank. It's pretty sizable, and loose enough to fit larger items. Why the loss of one star? The colour choices. Black with orange highlights? Meh. The grey with the bright pastel blue? Meh. The navy blue with yellow highlights is nice looking, but wouldn't go well with my red-skinned MBP14. I'd love a black/red combo, or a case that's a nice vibrant red with black accents. That would be killer! ... show more

I used to have a case where the cables ad thumb drives had to be in the case with that laptop but I also felt that it led to scratches on my old laptop. So when I bought a new laptop it was important for me to find a case that can fit easily in backpack and a place for me to store cables, thumb drives and charger blocks away from laptop. This cover works as advertised. It fits the MacBook Air 2022 perfectly. The corners of the laptop click into the "Corner Armor" just as in their video. It also has a nice flat front zippered compartment for the power cable. It also has a nice feel to it.
