My light did what a lot of reviewers stated: Cargo light stayed on all the time. I've owned my Dakota for nearly 6 years and I have never used the cargo light. On mine (can't promise the same thing will happen for you) I disconnected the LED white line (to turn off the power to the cargo lights) and the third brake light still worked. Again, I have never used cargo lights so no big deal. The light is a little smaller than the OEM light so I had to polish the area which had black marks/lines and crud. LED had a small scratch on the LED plastic (maybe my fault???) and used Meguiars plastix and it looks new again. A very nice looking device . ... show more

I have had this light for about two months now. I would say it is pretty well made considering my truck has sat outside in lots of thunderstorms and this light has held up well. The cargo lights are extremely bright and light up the bed way better than the original one. The brake lights are really bright too!
