I recently replaced my windshield and had to replace my phone mount. I purchased this because I had low expectations but just needed a quick and cheap phone mount until I found something more permanent. I have been pleasantly impressed with this phone mount. It fits my phone perfectly and has a spring loaded release feature which is easy to activate. I did not even need to use any additional adhesive to keep it on my windshield, it works perfect. I have had this for a few months now and have absolutely zero complaints. It holds my phone very well and the dash mount is SOLID! I have a 1961 Willys Wagon with a steel dash so I use the magnetic dash mount which also has an adhesive film. I can move the phone all around and even take video out the windshield while driving. Excellent product!

It took about ten minutes or less from the time that I opened the box to install the Suuson car phone holder. I read instructions and this has instructions for three different installations, so it took longer, still quick. Then I was driving on a busy main arterial, 1st Ave South in Seattle, and some careless person pulled out in front of me doing a U-turn. Not only did I almost hit him, but when I swerved left, I was barreling head-on toward a big truck coming at me, both of us traveling about 40 MPH. Whew, I swerved again while traffic in both directions avoided the mayhem. The Suuson car phone mount stayed stuck to the windshield with my Pixel 8 Pro safely gripped. If it had been on the seat, it would have flown to the floor as my courier bag did with my lunch containers spilling out. I like this better than the one that was stolen in a car prowl. I used to struggle with two hands to relieve the springs and insert my phone. This one grabs the phone securely with an easy smooth squeeze of the side grips. Likewise I take the phone out with one hand using the release button. I recommend this device especially at the $11.00 price. UPDATE after a few days of use. I'm even LIKING THIS MORE. As with other such mounts, I have to be careful about the volume control on my phone. Now that I am aware, I can easily adjust volume as needed while driving. ... show more

    • It works, but it's not ideal for my car's vent setup

I first tried mounting to the dash, but the seal wouldn't adhere well and literally fell off onto the floor when I left it overnight before the first day I intended to use it. I had to settle for using the vent mount option, but the vent layout in my 2016 Chevy Cruze means it sits so closely to my steering wheel that it interferes with using either my turn signal on the left or my key ignition and wiper controls on the right unless I keep it angled slightly away from me. It's also quite low, which means I have to move my head downward in order to view driving directions instead of being able to move my eyes laterally, which is an avoidable driving distraction. It also means my phone sits in front of the air vent. In summer, it's not a problem as the cool air avoid my phone overheating, but winter is another story, and I have to keep the vent closed. I work as a delivery driver, which means these three issues add up to a major annoyance, and I'm back to buy a different phone mount. The grip is good, the one-touch release is good, it allows me to charge my phone while driving, and it keeps my phone stable, but it's not ideal for what I need. ... show more
