I could tell right away that this hammock stand was used. I get it. People change their minds. I’ve done so multiple times. What I didn’t anticipate was the broken part. When I opened the package some parts were unwrapped and tossed willynilly into the box. I pulled out a few pieces and they seemed ok. When I pulled out another tube I could hear the faint rattle of something loose. I tilted it up and out came a silver button like object - oh no - I thought. I pulled out each piece and compared them to the list on the directions and all were accounted for. I assembled the pieces and it was easy enough. The only problem was the spring loaded button thingie that had broken off. It was part of the stand that wasn’t too critical so I put on my MacGyver hat and got lost in thought. I decided a screw and duct tape would do the trick. And it did. It’s not pretty but once I got the hammock attached and laid back I didn’t really care. It’s good enough and I’m happy with it. So anyways Amazon. Please be mindful with your returns and quality control is your friend. Update!! The seller Sunnydaze reached out to me and offered to refund my purchase price for the problems I had. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by their customer support. ... show more

This is a pretty nice hammock stand. I bought it to use with my hammock tent when camping and there aren’t trees. While this certainly isn’t something you are going to backpack in some state park, it does for nicely in my roof top cargo box once it has been broken down. My only concern is the metal seems a bit on the thin side but I set it up with my hammock tent and laid in it for a while moving around to test it a bit and it held up well. This company is excellent to purchase from. My bronze stand arrived very quickly with the box totally intact. The individual bars were wrapped carefully in bubble wrap and the paint job was perfect. It was a cinch to put together with the included instructions. However there was a small flattened spot on one of the top curved sections and there was no way to get a bar into the hole. The flat spot was located right at the seam of the bar so I was concerned that if I tried to hammer it out I may split the steel at the connection. Very disappointed, I contacted the seller and explained my issue and asked what they recommended me to do to get it replaced or repaired. They promptly replied and told me to do nothing, and they sent a replacement right out at no additional charge. It too, was packaged well and delivered quickly. This one did the trick and I was lounging in no time! I am very satisfied with this product, it fits both my Brazilian style hammock as well as my double hammock with spreader bars. I am able to pull it around my yard to the best spots by myself and it does not tear the lawn. I wouldn’t recommend dragging it across pavement or gravel or it will wreck the perfect paint job. I bring it into my garage overnight to protect it if it rains or the sprinklers come on. This item is very durable, pretty, functional, reasonably priced and the company stands behind their product. Stand looks great, but pieces were scratched (which I was ready to deal with to not go through the hassle of a return) but one piece was so dented that I couldn’t finish putting it together. Requested a refund through Amazon and new one gets here in a few days. Concerned about the quality given the price though.
