I got these, primarily, because I needed a quick and easy way to attach/detach charging cables from batteries on stage items (live theater), and having the grounding plug would verify that the cords never got polarities mixed up. There's a notch cut in the hardware, which I assume is to catch the individual wires so there's something besides the mounting screws holding them in place, but the notches were awkward to use, and on the male plugs, the ground lead could randomly drop off while you were working on the others (once the outer case is on, it's secure.) They seem pretty robust and are actually a bit overkill for what I was doing, but the price was reasonable and they were better than some other edison cord-ends that I purchased at the same time. If you know what you're doing, they're probably not bad. I kind-of-knew, and they were workable. Wouldn't recommend them for someone who's just starting in on putting your own ends on cords. I really like the shape of this connector. The screw in terminals are missing a clamp to squeeze the wire to the terminal. Stranded wire tends to slip out of the screw fastener.

Only two issues. First there is no obvious indication of which connection is hot and which is neutral. Second there is no strain relief so if you were to pull on the cord you are pulling on the wire connection in the plug.
