  • Innovative design, versatile, fun!
This is the best balance board I have ever had! I love it, and I use it several times a day. Every time I walk by, it calls my name. The stoppers are held in place via magnets and can be easily configured. The curved stoppers don't have indentations but it is easy to remove them by inserting a fingertip into a hole partly under the stopper. I started out using the board on a Dyna Disc for 360 balance with more stability than the ball. Then I moved on to the ball with the small oval which is very fun and challenging. The ball looks large in the product page pictures, but it is not that large. It's probably good at the beginning to have a smaller ball because when you lose balance, you can easily stay on the board. Great product! Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great for balance and core strength
Color: Light Purple & Black
I love this thing! I'm 72 and an avid cyclist. My daughter, skilled on snow and skate board, introduced me to this. I was attracted to the side to side hip work, as opposed to the constant front to back of cycling, and the balance component. I've been a long term practitioner of standing on one foot to improve balance but this in a whole other league. It is definitely a lot harder than it looks. This will test your core in a whole new and very beneficial way. Note that I've only used to roller at right angle to the board. I find the middle stops best for starting out. At this point, I'm not interested in using the ball balancing or the roller parallel to the board. Here is my recommendation for getting started: 1. Start on a rug. I use it on a medium pile carpet. There is a trade off between effort and stability depending on surface. As I'm getting better on this, I plan to progress to a thin rug then bare floor but this feels safest now. Safety is VERY important! You don't want to fall. 2. I spent this first week doing this in front of something I could hold on to without bending over too much. In my case, I'm using a 6' high book shelf unit which is securely fastened to the wall (important!) to hold on to for stability. I use it in 3 minute sessions 3-4 times a day and this allowed me to be safe, get this feel of using the board, and start to build strength and activation of the muscles used with the board. 3. As I got comfortable (after about 5 days) I started to work in short (few seconds) periods where I'd let go. It is amazing how even a light grip on something takes the load off the muscles needed for full side to side balancing. 4. I've now worked up to the point where I do a 3 min workout without needing any stability grabs. but I'm not yet able to get a smooth side to side seesaw that is the goal. I believe this will come as this work builds the hip and core muscles that are used. 5. Be patient. Even if you are only letting go of your support short periods you will be amazed at the muscles you are working. All in all, great fun and is a great way to improve balance. Balance is an important and often neglected component of health and well being for us older folk. ... show more

  • Good value for features compared to other boards
Color: Light Purple & Black
I’ve had this for a couple months and it’s been pretty fun. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to become relatively proficient at balancing on it. I like the difficulty levels that you get by moving the stops, and the ball option is also fun (and difficult). I bought this instead of a RevBalance Swell 2.0 because of the price point and because I liked the addition of the ball. I took a surfing trip shortly after getting this, and I really do think it helped improve my balance. Here are the downsides I see so far: I don’t like the super grippy deck. At first, I thought that was a good idea, but it makes it hard to slide your feet around if you’re trying different moves. And if I get to where I want to practice surfing pop-ups on it, I think it will tear up my skin or socks. The roller is a little short. When I’m using the board in surf mode, I wish the roller extended to the edges of the board so I could walk to the ends without having the board pop up. I think the roller is covered with a textured sticker to give it some grip. It seems durable, but I’m a little worried that it is going to peel up. The seam of it is already picking up lint and it also has a noticeable little bump when I roll over that section as I’m balancing. I would buy this again, but I think I’m also going to end up buying a RevBalance. ... show more

  • Great challenging balance board
Color: Light Purple & Black
Love this, perfect for any board balance training. Great price, very challenging on the ball. Solid construction, really like the magnetic moveable stoppers to change the difficulty, and one can leave the stoppers off for the biggest challenge.

  • Worth the money
Color: Light Purple & Black
I bought this to help me with my surf board balance. I don't live near the beach so my reference for balance progress is skate boarding down my driveway and this balance board definitely helped that. The stops on the bottom are secure and keep you from rolling off the ends and sides. I'm 215lbs and the board and roller are plenty strong. The curved pieces can be a little hard to pull up because they're slick and held in place with magnets. I roughed them up with sand paper to add some grip. The only thing i wish was better is the rubber roller ball. It's a little soft for my weight. It's fine when new, and doesn't deform much with my 120lb daughter on it, but I can tell I'm squishing the life out of it. I'm currently looking for a harder replacement for it. Maybe one made of solid wood or plastic. Overall I'm very satisfied with the value and fun factor of this kit. It's definitely better than the 2x8 board and 6" pvc pipe that i was using. ... show more
