It works great, but.... if you want to snap legs, it won't cover the saddle. I do like the option of the removable hood, but the hood in itself is somewhat small. The BIG complaint I have is that there are openings on the side of each side pocket, SO when you are riding, they gap open and if its raining....I understand that concept, but its a ridiculous thing considering the point of wearing a rain jacket is to stay dry.. This allows a lot of water in on your pants. Easy fix, to just seal it with glue.. But why should I have too. Poor designing on the makers part. ASK people that ride all day in the rain on a horse. ... show more

We purchased one each for myself and my husband to keep us dry when we have to go out in bad weather. Mine is fairly large on me, as I am short, so it goes down to my ankles. My husband wears a large but the L was tight on him. We simply returned it for an XXL so there would be room for winter clothing underneath. Just today I had to put mine on to run out in a torrential downpour to hook up the generator. It kept me dry. They are not heavy material so they might tear in rough terrain but to go out in to the yard for anything they are great. ... show more

I really like this slicker - perfect for riding in wet weather - large enough to cover the saddle. I ordered a Medium and received a slicker with both a Large and Medium size tag inside. It is ankle length, which I LOVE! It's not only perfect for riding, it'll be great for feeding the horses in the rain. There are exterior and interior pockets, and there is a detachable hood. I'm 5'5" 130 lbs - this large/medium slicker is HUGE - fits like a sleeping bag on me. It's large enough for a linebacker!! I'm returning for a size small in hopes in will fit better. ... show more

Nice inexpensive full length raincoat, appears well made. I'm 6'2" and 285 lbs. More barrel shaped then Silver back shape. Think Curly from stooges. Love the length - at / around ankles - mid calf, however touch tight in body and the sleeves are easily 3 to 4 " to short. Extra 2 " with a extra 2" of folded material in a buttoned cuff be perfect. I got a 3x -- guessing a 5 x be better but unfortunately not made. I'm having to return it. It's just to small. A 3x should fit a middle linebacker. Arms are fine if your 5'10", Chest was to tight. First, the delivery to France was really quick! Less than 1 week. The lenght is good except for the sleeves, a little too long (but not a big deal). I'm a little bit worried about the breathability of the slicker, I wore it once when I was taking horses back to their field by foot (15 minutes walk), and I swet a bit. I didn't feel any air on my back, where there is the flap. I will also glue the 2 'open' pockets as l think that rain will wet my riding breeches through the holes. So not too bad, breathability not really good but it will do its job under the rain. Covers down to my ankles. ... show more

Excellent for the money. Not sure what some others were expecting for the price. I purchased this specifically for the Kū Kiaʻi Mauna Protection of Mauna Kea movement in Hawaiʻi. At approximately 7000 feet it can be hot one minute and freezing cold, crazy windy and raining like mad the next. Anyone who know mountain weather knows this. Got my chance to try out my new coat right away. Wind and rain like crazy with warm breaks. Coat performed flawlessly! I like the look and feel. Iʻm 5,11 180. Got a large, fit perfect. NO issues with snaps. Some folks my not be snapping correctly. Snaps into legs (so you can still straddle a saddle). Canʻt go wrong for the price. I agree, this is not a hard labor coat but rather more of a wear around. ... show more
