If you're thinking about buying, I suggest you hurry. This camera is beginner-friendly, and the quality of videos and images is great! You’ll need an SD card, I suggest 128 and higher especially if you film often. The battery does die quicker than I would like so I'll be buying a backup. This camera has been ideal for my video work. I have this set up in a small home office that isn't much bigger than some walk-in closets I've seen. So, I needed a camera that had a wide enough angle without resulting in excessive distortion. This Sony camera is ideal for my situation. It has good image quality, is easy to operate with the touchscreen, and has autofocus capability that my phone setup lacked. I know some reviews criticize this camera for not having phase detection focus, but so far, it has given me no issues at all, especially since I am not moving too much within the frame. I am also using an external shotgun-type microphone, and I can see the levels on the screen, which helps dial in the correct sound levels. I am very happy with this camera, and it takes reasonably good still photos as well. Just plan on purchasing an extra battery, or a power bank, as battery life is probably the only weak point I see with this camera. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Purchased this camera in January as a Valentine’s gift for my wife. She’s just now opened the box to use it and the camera is inoperable. We charged it and inserted a new memory card which the camera said it was unable to read. Then we tried a few more memory cards I use for a Sony AIV that I own and those didn’t work either. We then tried turning the camera off and which didn’t work without removing the battery. We’re a bit disappointed because we can’t return it being as though the window has closed. I would just urge those whom are interested to do a lot more research than I did before purchasing this model camera ... show more
