πŸš€ Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Sonos Arc soundbar has come off as an impressive product according to the reviews, offering high quality sound and a stylish design. Many customers appreciate its compatibility with Dolby Atmos and eArc, the clarity of its audio, and its feature for room acoustic customization (Trueplay). However, few drawbacks were pointed out such as limitations in customizations for non-iPhone users and relatively complex setup process.

Pros

  • πŸ”Š High quality, crystal clear sound and excellent bass
  • 🎬 Compatibility with Dolby Atmos and eArc for an authentic cinema-like experience
  • πŸ“± Integration with voice assistants like Alexa and Google
  • πŸ’‘ Room acoustic customization with Trueplay
  • 🎨 Aesthetically pleasing design
  • πŸ‘Œ Compatibility with other Sonos speakers for surround sound setup

Cons

  • ❌ Trueplay only available for iPhone users
  • πŸ”„ Decently complex setup process recognized by some users
  • πŸ”§ Limited customization options via Android and Windows 10 Apps
  • ❗ No support for DTS:X audio

Should I Buy It?

If high quality, cinema-like sound combined with sleek aesthetics is a priority, the Sonos Arc soundbar would be a worthy investment. However, if you are not an iPhone user or need support for DTS:X audio, you might encounter some limitations. Weighing the mentioned pros and cons, potential buyers with a positive disposition towards being Apple users may find the Sonos Arc soundbar particularly appealing.

  • Incredible!!
Size: Single Color: Black
I just added the arc 300 sound bar to my existing ER a 300 speakers absolutely incredible. The sound is rich and full, songs that I’ve listened to in the past sound totally different. You can hear different tones deep tones that I never knew were there before. the sound bar was very easy to hook up to the ERA 300 speakers, everything synced perfectly just amazing speakers. I may never leave the house again. On a scale from one to 10 ,I would have to easily give it a 50 one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I’m definitely a music lover and this just made me love music even more. outstanding Sonos I will buy another pair of the ERA 300s to round out the system. ... show more

  • Great product. Wonderful sound, easy setup.
Size: Single Color: Black
As "product disappointment" (aka expensive junk) seems to be the norm these days, I am happy that this Sonos sound bar, along with the Sub and Era 100, are excellent products (so far). Connect easily, app is very good, overall setup super-easy. Watched Dune 1 and was pulled into the movie thanks to the sound system. Dialogue comes across clear and the depth of sound is wonderful. Next, found that I can connect my Spotify and Apple Music accounts to the system via the Sonos app, and in less than a minute I have great music in the rec room. I hope is lasts the test of time, but so far just a great product that is worht the bvery high price tag. ... show more

  • Works great with the Sonos One speakers for surround sound!
Size: Single Color: Black
For years I've been wanting to have a home theater system. I've been listening to movies through my TV audio for far too long. I did HOURS upon HOURS of research before finally deciding on Sonos mainly due to the high ratings and the fact that the Sonos Arc was tested and listened to by academy award winning sound engineer, Chris Jenkins, who listened to the Sonos Arc himself and was very happy with the results. Now, before I continue I should add that your TV needs to be fairly new in order to work with Sonos Arc. I myself recently purchased a Samsung TU8000 which supports Dolby Atmos and eArc connection. If your TV only has Arc connection, it will still work, but not in the same manner as it would with eArc. In other words: Sonos eArc to TV Arc = Arc Connection Sonos eArc to TV eArc = eArc Connection What's the difference? To put it simply, Arc stands for Audio Return Channel. eArc stands for ENHANCED Audio Return Channel. That means it can handle more advanced audio formats and higher audio quality, such as Dolby Atmos in this case. Now, if you do not have EITHER Arc or eArc on your TV, they also have an HDMI to optical adapter which comes in the box. Again, eArc on your TV is the BEST for audio, but Sonos is providing you with more than one option in case your TV is older. With that said, lets move on... The Sonos Arc by itself (without any speakers or subwoofers) sounds wonderful on its own! I actually questioned if I really needed a subwoofer or rear speakers because it sound excellent just by itself in my opinion. It has plenty of bass when listening to music or watching a movie. The audio is crystal clear. The voices are clear as well. However, I had already ordered the rear speakers which arrived in the mail a few days later. I connected them as well to the Arc and tested a few movies that support Dolby Atmos such as Star Wars and Zootopia. I must say I am extremely happy with this setup! The sound isn't as "jumpy" as other surround systems I've heard in the past (I'm talking years ago). For instance, if a train passes and you hear it go from the front to the rear speakers, it is smooth!! It doesn't just jump to the back speaker. It does it in a way that sounds realistic, similar to a high end movie theater. I love this! Star Wars sounds absolutely amazing as well! If you really want to test the sound of Atmos, I highly recommend the pod racing scene from Star Wars episode 1. I know, I know, it's not everyones favorite film. I'm just saying the Atmos surround sound within that scene is just a wonderful way to test out your new system. You will be amazed! Now, not all movies support Atmos. I've tested Dolby Digital audio, such as Harry Potter, and was pleasantly surprised as well. In order to change from Atmos to other audio formats, such as Dolby Digital, you need to do it from your TV settings. Sonos does not have a setting for it. Your TV will though. I did it with my Samsung TU8000 and simply turned off "Atmos" in settings which automatically switched it to Dolby Digital. The surround sound came on immediately once I did this. DTS:X is unfortunately NOT supported, which is a downside but because it supports other formats I let this slide. Harry Potter, for example, despite NOT being in Atmos still sounds wonderful in Dolby Digital. As for voice commands you have 2 options: Google or Alexa. I chose Alexa because that is what I have always had in my home. It is easy to play music using Amazon Music. The sound is excellent, especially songs with a lot of bass. In fact, the bass is so good that I cancelled my Subwoofer that I was planning to get. I MAY change my mind later, but for right now the bass on the Arc alone is so good that I just don't really feel I need the Subwoofer right now. Overall, I am very happy with my new home theater system. It offers great and more realistic surround sound compared to home theater systems I've listened to in the past. The setup is easy using the new Sonos App. I love the fact that it is so easy to switch from Amazon Music, to watching a movie or TV. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and the black blends in nicely to my black TV stand. Highly recommended!!!! ... show more

  • IF you VALUE your PRIVACY read THIS
Size: Single Color: Black
IF I knew this BEFORE I ordered this system, it would NOT of happened. So they have the sl option which means no listening software built in some products. There is instructions on their website to remove the surveillance software. There is also the Sonos app that you MUST register and USE to actually use the equipment you just paid high dollar (to me) for. WHAT??? Now I need to get this app and sign my privacy away (yes I read all of it) in order to use the equipment I paid for which means I OWN, but Sonos has the control over! Yes, you are having your private conversations recorded via Sonos equipment, which they say stays locally stored on your equipment, BUT THEY WILL TURN OVER TO LAW ENFORCEMENT?? WTH??? So if it stayed locally on the equipment I own, again, how do you have it, Sonos??? I realize this is an extreme scenario, but is it really??? I haven't received this equipment yet, coming in a couple days. I purchased mainly at this time for the Super Bowl, so I thought I would set up the mandatory account because I can't use my equipment until I give Sonos (big brother) the ability to control everything first. BAM....NO, YOU CAN NOT USE YOUR VPN ( your privacy choice) because again big brother, SONOS says NO. You can NOT even access the ability to create an account. So to confirm, I paused my VPN and tried again and well, just like magic, I was allowed. Well, that is the last straw for me. Even though I researched for 2 straight days and I chose to purchase Sonos, which meant I OWN and control the expensive equipment (Sonos Arc and Gen 3 sub), but hmmm really I don't. So the decision, is this HAS TO GO. My money, I, ALONE own what I purchase and decide what will be in my home. Surveillance equipment is not a part of that. SHAME ON YOU SONOS. SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME YOU have created a HUGE problem and RUINED our gathering for the Super Bowel. Be TRANSPARENT and HONEST of who you really are, BIG BROTHER!!! Sennheimer, will be the choice. ... show more
