    • A real miracle product!
I've been using this product now for years, and man has it bailed me out of a number of jams. I think everyone knows that when you've got a sunburn you've done damage to your skin, and depending on the severity, there isn't much you can do, you can put aloe and various creams, but those only seem to get so far. I'll spray this on myself and my kid at the moment we see any redness especially that night. The spray has a nice fragrance, goes on the skin nicely with it not hurting and it's more soothing to me than putting aloe on. I've seen several times in the past where my skin starts red the night (after getting some more sun than I had intended) and I'll wake up the following morning and while my skin may be a little more tan, there's no more redness and skin is looking fine with no pain either. I highly recommend this to anyone who may be prone to sun burns, and even if you don't get them often, this is a great product to have in your arsenal. The ingredients are safe and I have no concern about using this product liberally (but honestly you only need a few sprays for most burns even). I think the product also works as a good moisturizer, but honestly, I use it almost entirely for battling sun burns, and man does it work! We discovered Solar Recover about 15 years ago while on vacation in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Like a lot of people we overdid it on the first day and were burned, we went to find something for relief and ran across this in a surf shop. It works so good depending on the severity of your burn you could be back out the next day or within two and not have your vacation ruined. It moisturizes, takes the pain away, and helps stop your skin from peeling. Basically it is repairing and it smells great. I first found this product several years ago when we were spending a week in Sanibel, Florida. I use this if I am out in the sun too long. I don't use sunscreen and sometimes get a slight burn. This takes the sting out and I think it helps it to heal. I also use it as aftershave. It works, smells good, and adds moisture. Yes, it is pricey. ... show more

if y’all have the tendency to burn, even with sunscreen on, like me and my paper-white self, you NEED this. I’ve sworn by this product for years. I burn so easy, and if I don’t treat my burn with anything, it will stay bright red for upwards of a week, peel horrifically after that, and then still be pink after that somehow?? Now, when (not if) I burn, I spray this on twice daily (once when getting out of the shower and once before bedtime). It feels cooling, smells like natural essential oils not some fake perfume-y scent, fades my sunburn into a pinkish tan FAST, and helps reduce the amount of peeling. It has very limited (and all natural) ingredients, so it’s great for my super sensitive skin, they don’t test on animals, and it’s like $20/bottle. I got burnt SO BAD this weekend, and now after using it only a few days, it’s faded into my summer shade of pinkish tan, there’s minimal itching, and my skin is moisturized without having to slather myself in lotion.     • super strong scent
if you have issues with strong fragrant scents bothering your sinuses, you may want to pass on this or dilute it with some organic aloe juice (what i am going to do since the aloe juice will add extra moisturing benefits as well). the bottle i received is clearly fresh and has a super strong geranium & chamomile oil scent, quite honestly as nice and pretty as it does smell, the overpowering scent becomes nauseating by the time you are done spraying it on your whole body and after hubby sprayed it on my back, it made him gag and he works around all kinds of airborne chemical/etc smells at work! part of problem is with the sprayer head, it is definitely an excellent fine mist as claim however the mist shoots too outwards and not inwards at all so when you point bottle say at center of your face, only the side of your cheeks/ears/hair gets sprayed, spraying closer up doesn't help much with that problem and since you have to keep moving sprayer around to get parts that didn't get this oil/water spray on it, half of the product ends up in the air and not getting sprayed on you but, it does freshen up the bathroon air/surfaces i suppose.. Product does help itchy after shower skin after spraying and then respraying 5 mins later. that was my main purpose for buying this 'oil based' spray (i don't consider it a 'lotion' spray at all), my back itchiness was driving me nuts and hubby has a problem with getting lotions/etc on his hands so was no help with putting me out of my misery by using non-spray lotions.. as for helping rid of dry skin itself, it seems to be doing a decent job at that, my skin feels pretty soft right now even though it still shows dryness areas. btw if you have cats, i would NOT spray this in areas they are in nor allow them near you until product dries off on you! ... show more

This produce truly works. I use the tanning bed and actually got burnt in it. I sprayed and rubbed this product all over and never peeled and was instantly feeling cooler and not burning. You won't be disappointed.
