This product is super useful to use when snorkeling. It inflates so you can just float and focus on snorkeling. I have noticed it also makes me feel so much safer in the water, because it is basically a life vest. I love using this vest to snorkel. It improves the experiance a lot. You can spend more time looking at fish and other creatures, and less time tired from swimming around and keeping afloat. To inflate, you just blow into this tube that is attached to the vest. You just press downwards on the tube to open the valve, and then blow in. To deflate just press down on the tube and then squeeze the air out of the vest. The color is also very neon/vibrant and I think it would make spotting a person in the ocean a lot easier in case of emergency. Pros: -Bright yellow color improves visibility -Easy to inflate -Makes snorkeling more enjoyable Cons: -Can be hard to squeeze all air out when deflating I think this vest is useful for everyone, experience and unexperiance swimmers alike. These are great water safety vests. I was looking for less bulky water safety vests for a vacation at a lake. We wanted to kayak and not have to worry about trying to paddle around while wearing a huge vest. These were perfect. Most of the time we wore them un-inflated. However, even inflated, they were not bulky and allowed us to paddle without feeling like the vest got in the way. We also kept the vests on while swimming in the lake - just so we could all hang out and talk without having to tread water. They completely supported our weight and didn’t ride up and choke us. This vest fit well for my husband. He is 250 pounds and 6’4”. It did not fit for me, and I’m 5’7” and 180 pounds. It did not fit for our daughter either. They are about my height but 120 pounds. This is not a universal sized vest even though you can tighten it a bit. Would only recommend this to larger people. ... show more
