This is a great little breaker box and I’ve added pictures so you can see there’s ample room in the box even with four breakers in there. You can definitely add five if you have the kind which clip in rather than slide on. If they slide on, then you can only fit three because the breakers would hide the screws holding the rail into the box. Also, someone else mentioned there were no punch outs, so I added pictures of those as well for ref. So why four stars? Well because the screws they sent to hold the faceplate on, don’t fit!! Very frustrating (a pic of those as well). They seem to be mis-sized anchor screws. Not sure what happened but not worth dealing with a return over it.     • Adequate solar breaker box for indoor or covered use

Box was purchased because I need to run 100 Amp solar breaker (2 pole) from 48 V backup system to Inverter charger PLUS a 30 amp slimline 2 pole breaker that solar comes into the house on. The 100 Amp is much wider and necessitated the use of the 5 position box and not the 4. Box is decent but I would never consider it weatherproof. It holds breakers on a metal DIN chassis, cover and box are injected molded plastic and were fine for use. Gasket is present and fit was good but box can deform easily. Take your time and predrill your screw mounting holes and don't overtighten screws with a drill - YOU WILL CRACK THE BOX. Hand tighten screws ONLY! I used the round screw type rubber compression ferrules to run wires through. I actually epoxied them to the box using JB Weld epoxy for plastics (found here on Amazon). 4 screws hold on the front of box with the cover. Very small footprint and happy with the purchase. Purchased this for my solar setup to house breakers for my solar charge controllers amd panel double breakers. Its holding 2 double breakers and 2 single breakers. There is no simple knock outs for incoming or outgoing wires. You have to drill out your own holes for the glands. This is not ideal but it can be an advantage if you only wanted 1 or 2 holes. The rail fits the breakers I mentioned and actually has room for 2 more knock outs for breakers. ... show more

It works good , is heavy plastic. There are no blanks to take up space if you don't fill all the breaker slots. The knockouts do note knockout. You will need to drill the box.
