If you put the cot in the bed of your pick up truck it fits right over the wheel wells giving you maximum space and if it's a 6' foot bed you can even close the tailgate. If you required a little more length for the cot it would be easy to add something like a milk crate matching the height on the end. The cot is very sturdy the platform is solid as a rock no sag at all, putting an additional pad on top will make it even more comfortable! There's not many cots around that will recline from 10° degrees to 45° degrees like this one. To use as a chair it sits to far back for me but not a deal breaker. This was a step up from the hospital cots I’ve used over the years for inclement weather stays at work. I wish it were a little bit wider but I’m very happy with it! Seems very sturdy.

Took cot to hospital for anyone to use in our dept during massive snowstorm. Great size and stability. pad makes it comfortable. Will remain in our disaster kit. Added light square sleeping bag since indoors.

The mattress is very, very thin. Too thin. The head of bed, in a laying down postion, is slanted downward too much. I hate this bed.!!!!

I find the chair bice for outdoor. But the original purchase was for use as a guest bed. The mattress was so thin. I returned the unit. Although I received an offer to send me an extra pad it was too late I had already shipped it back. Refund was without debate and timely.
