I decided to try this for 2 reasons: -Color description -No ammonia I bought Chocolate Cherry. I applied over a warmer, medium brown, previously dyed hair. It was easy to apply, I did use a brush and bowl. There was hardly any chemical scent which was great!! After application, I applied plastic wrap to incubate. I let it set 45 mins, rinsed with cool water and used conditioner provided. I let it air dry. I love the color! It is a darker, cool brown, but when the light hits it, it has shine of red/violet. I used this on bleached hair and it was super black for the first week or 2. Then, with a few washes and passes with a straightening iron, it looks like a natural black with brown undertones bcs some of the color has faded, and it looks so beautiful in the sun. Seems okay, it did cover visible grays on top but many gray strands underneath are still gray. I usually have issues with completely covering my grays with multiple brands I’ve used that say gray coverage. Im not sure if this is due to my own errors or not but I make sure to use all the dye, saturate my hair & leave on a little longer than the time limit. But my visible grays were covered which was most important. Also the metal tube with the coloring mixture was incredibly hard to squeeze out all the product. It took me 10-15 minutes to get it all out, I was actually sweating & pulled a muscle in my neck from straining so much to squeeze the tube & I’m not a body builder but Im not weak & Im young.
