Think it should be standard when reviewing furniture to describe the material. So to that end this piece is made of solid wood and wood veneers. Well made and the assembly isn't difficult if you are at all handy. The cabinet doors fit perfectly and the drawers glide easily in and out. I would have given it 5 stars but the 2 drawers do not align very well so as they shut, they are off on fit and don't shut the way they should. The glides on the rails were pre-drilled and screwed in so you'd have to make different holes to adjust the height and make it right. It'd be perfect if these drawers didn't look "off" which is passable but still noticeably off. It did take some time and patience to put together but instructions are very clear and you will need 2 people for certain parts. It holds a lot of your barware and looks amazing. Overall the product is very nice looking assembled, and being solid wood construction I feel more confident in the longevity versus the MDF alternatives. It has plenty of storage for wine/bar related items and was surprisingly easy to assemble when using a drill for certain steps. Now for the cons - this product is nowhere near the gray depicted in the product pictures. And reading through other reviews of various color options, it appears none of the color offerings are remotely close to the product listings. Farmhouse Gray is entirely brown, no hint of gray whatsoever. The product also has a very strong odor that takes a while to dissipate. I also question the durability of the stain/paint used, which had some flaws from the factory (masked with what appears to be black sharpie and surprisingly doesn't look bad against the dark brown). The finish also chipped fairly easily during assembly of certain areas of the wood which were flat with no textured finish like on the top. I imagine a store bought stain could closely match this, or the product could be entirely refinished down the line if need be. ... show more

Color does not look anything like the picture. It states farmhouse grey. This isn't even a shade of grey, it is a very clear brown. Color resembles milk chocolate. Very disappointing. Actual color in attachment.

Absolutely love this piece! It arrived sooner than expected, well packed, all pieces were clearly labeled and there was even a packet of extra hardware! I spent about 3 weeks deciding if I wanted to take the chance in buying it since I had read all the reviews and they were very mixed, but I'm so glad I did!! It went together very easily, took about an hour but I would recommend putting the back on last otherwise you will have some difficulty putting on the magnets for the doors. It fits my space perfectly, not too big, and it matches my walnut table almost perfectly! I use it as a liquor cabinet and it's fabulous! The drawers are not long enough to really use it as a buffet, but I can live with that. It really is a beautiful piece of furniture, and not compressed wood product. I did not put the back on the wine rack and it looks really nice like that. Love it! ... show more
