I just received this dash camera and tried it out for the first day.. it's made very nice. However it's advertised as 2.5k resolution for the main camera, and 1080p for the rear camera, but the actually resolution of the recorded video is 1080p for the main camera and 640x480 for the rear. A big difference. Even made sure the camera settings are correct. Even shows 2.5k on the display when using.. with this said, I don't recommend this camera. You can get the same quality for less. The media could not be loaded. This is my second dashcam- while it’s easy to use and has good picture quality, my playback appeared to be in fast forward even after formatting the sd card and restoring to factory settings. Also, even though sound is enabled for recording and playback, I wasn't getting any recorded sounds. I Googled the issue, and the fast speed and lack of audio is usually due to time lapse. Nothing in the manual for this dash cam says anything about this. I changed a couple settings, one being for the interval between clips. Not sure if that was the fix, but now I have normal playback speed along with sound. ... show more

    • Great value and build for the price
I love this unit, it's replacing another lesser brand that was not reliable. Easy plug and play, extra camera is nice and so is the added sd card. It always comes on quickly and I've had zero issues unlike my other camera.

    • Nice Dashcam, but video quality poor
I was disapointed withShrinLuck 2.5K Dash, I expected it to be a better camera than my old 1080 dashcam. The video looks blurry in some of the different shades and lines, hard on the eyes when watching the video. Also the files are very large (MOV file), about 14 time larger than my old 1080 (MP4 file). MOV file suppose to be better than MP4, but not in this case. I have to say that I really like the physical part (Hardware), like the menu, buttons, but power connector should be a USB "C". ... show more

    • Amazing clarity
The camera was easy to set up and the picture/sound quality has amazed me. I'm still learning about all the things it can do. Most important to me is the motion detection while the car is parked. It does what it says it will do and then some. I like the idea of getting everything recorded if there is an accident and the ability to record license plates of suspicious behavior in my neighborhood. I highly recommend this camera. Camera works fine. Does the trick for us. We use them on our work vehicle and haven’t had a problem with the camera itself, but the hardware that comes with fit attachment doesn’t last for long at all. I think that the suction cup holder gets too warm on glass. Completely broken. If you do end up with this camera, I’d suggest putting it on your dash rather than on the inside of your window. It’s just barely getting hot here and these are falling down constantly and breaking. Wondering if I can’t get a replacement? ... show more
