The boots in the photo show all black with no western stitching on the sides. There were other color options in this listing that showed the stitching, but I specifically chose the black faux suede that showed in photos with no stitching. I like a plane boot, as pictured, with just the semi-stretchy side panels. These boots do not have the side panel. True knee high cowboy boots! They are quite wide so if you have wider muscular calves, they should work out alright for you. I had to size up because I have wide feet. I still felt that these were narrow in the toe area. However, they are incredibly easy to walk in so that is a big plus. I will probably need to wear bandaids ahead of time on these to prevent any blisters, and I could even wear socks with them since I had to size up for a wider fit. Normally I would wear a 7 wide, but in this boot I got an 8. I do recommend these as they are a good basic black and very easy to walk in. ... show more

The deciding factor between 3 and 4 stars was the dent. Today I am wearing these for the first time, and they’re so cute! The only problem is one shoe is dented at the toe. I knew something was up last night when I opened them and only the right shoe had stuffing at the toe (both had it at the ankle/calve area). I can’t send them back though because I just put them and a pair of chucks in my luggage for the weekend. I’ll have to wear them! Eloquent boots, surprisingly they were an iffy purchase but I am so glad I decided on them because they were better in person than in the photos. Bought for my younger sister and she was so pleased!
