Bought these at around 20$ so less than a $1 a packet. Got a large variety that will be planted throughout the year from early spring to late fall/winter. So far I've done the tomatoes and greens and they all came up in the standard germination time. Nice thing about these packets is there is enough for one years planting for a medium mixed garden (3 raised beds). Use them and be done. ... show more

    • These are THE best! Am buying again for 2020
I bought this set of seeds last year & couldn't be happier. High germination rates & unlike the seeds you buy from Home Depot, Lowes etc. these will produce seeds that germinate. I only tried a few of them over the winter to see if they would take & they did. The carrots we left in the ground over the winter & pulled them out a few days ago and they were HUGE! One of the carrots alone weight 2.72 pounds!!! They were absolutely the best carrots I've ever tasted, and were packed full of flavor & tasted much better than what you buy in the store. The cukes were huge, as were the pumpkins, one of which weighed a respectable 11 lbs! Th We left a few overripe tomatoes in the dirt & surprise! They're coming up in the middle of May all by themselves :) Burpee seeds and such GMOs no longer self-germinate. This means you have to come back every year to buy new seeds. These are probably the sweetest tomatoes I've eaten since I was a child & we had a 2 acre garden. These tasted so different from the tomatoes one buys at the grocery store which have been packed in nitrogen to preserve them for the trip. I grow enough to not just slice & serve, but to put up jars of various flavored tomato sauces all with no preservatives or genetically modified ingredients. It's amazing how vibrant a spaghetti sauce can be when made from fresh tomatoes versus Prego or any other sauce. I bought these last year and am buying them again for 2020.     • Amazing seeds
I felt I was taking a big risk in going with this set of seeds, but I'm starting my plants in waves, and this set is turning out great. It is exceeding my expectations. I usually put 3 seeds in each cup, and so far I've gotten germination in 100% of the cups and 90% of the seeds. (I'm 1/3 of the way through planting, but I want to get a review out on these seeds early in the season) - it's a great deal because nearly everything I was looking for is in here (the only other seeds I needed to buy are red leaf lettuce, which my slugs avoid, and flat-leaf russian kale) - the number of varieties of the included plants is ridiculous (more than I can fit in my garden) - the germination rate so far has been over 90% - the number of seeds in each packet so far has been adequate (one packet was a little low in seed count, but I cannot remember which) ... show more

    • Old seeds packed for 2022 not 2023 but new seeds packed for 2023 were later sent
This revises my initial review. Skylar Walsh from DIY Tools contacted me by email and then sent a new order of new seeds packaged for 2023. They arrived quickly, and the problem of old seeds was resolved. He said it was a mistake. I appreciate how wonderful he was. Initial review: These are old seeds grown in 2021 and packed for 2022 not new seeds grown in 2022 and packed for 2023. Old seeds do not germinate as well as new seeds. Last year in January I ordered these Valley Greene Seeds from another company on Amazon, and they were stamped Packed for: 2022 Sell by 12/22. Freedom Farms stamped the two bags “New”, but each seed packet is stamped Packed for: 2022 Sell by 7/23. DIY Tools Supply is the seller through Amazon. I have purchased vegetable seeds for decades and waited until January so I would get the new seeds. At the end of each year seeds packed for that year are usually sold greatly discounted on a clearance sale to make room for the new seeds to come in. No where in their ad did the say these are old seeds packed for 2022. In fact, on the back of the seed packet shown, there are no dates stamped at the bottom. It is false advertising to write on the two bags “New”. I wrote to Freedom Farms, DIY Tools Supply via Amazon, and Amazon, but they would not discount the old seeds.
