    • Engraver is great, but no help getting started
This is my first laser cutter, so I didn't really know how to get started. The instruction booklet in the box only told you how to put it together. There is a whole other world when it comes to operating it. The software you CHOOSE to use with the machine makes a huge difference. Some are free and some are paid. I couldn't find much help at Sculpfun's website and finally found a brief software setup guide for two different ones included in the sales listing. I have chosen to use the LaserWeb software which is not so user friendly, but it is free instead of $60 for lightburn. ... show more

    • Not a good purchase complete waste of money
Putting the laser together was not that difficult but when it came down to using the software and instructions on how to be successful with your burning it you're burning it was pointless. I used it one time and was so frustrated because the directions were so vague that I ended up putting it in my closet and have not used it since. It was a complete waste of money and something that I will never purchase or suggest anyone to purchase. ... show more

Esta máquina laser es muy fácil de armar y usar. Con un video de Youtube en un par de días ya estaba haciendo varios trabajos con madera y con acrílico. Puedo hacer cortes tan precisos que antes era imposible hacer a mano. Es una máquina muy liviana que puedo colocar en casi cualquier sitio y no requiere de mayor mantenimiento en comparación con una de CO2 que son máquinas grandes, costosas y que si requieren mantenimiento. Learning curve mostly on the software side. That said it cuts and engraves well and fast. Multiple passes may skit over .5mm or less
