I have my mom’s bday to attend. I really wanted to get it professionally done but I don’t have enough time to book an appointment. I bought 3 because I have really long curly thick hair. I used two but in hindsight I should have used all 3. It actually colored my dark roots and it added more blonde to my blonde highlights. However. I waited too long to cover my grey so I had about 4.5 inches of grey. It didn’t color the grey probably because I didn’t leave it long enough. I colored my grey at the crown last because I didn’t want it to turn out lighter than my hair. I think I also didn’t use enough to color the stubborn grey. Because I have highlight, my crown was often highlighted so my grey was almost a silver once the grey came in. The hair color did try to color the grey in some areas but I guess it was too resistant. In 2 weeks I will redo my roots with the 3rd box and focus on the crown:grey. It should cover the grey. But in any case it’s hat time until a few weeks pass. I’ll figure something out. I don't have a lot of experience with this brand, but I was attracted to it because it said 80% less breakage. My hair seems to break easy, judging by the split ends I always get. Anywaaaay... This is a really nice dye kit. It has a pre-treat that you put on the ends of your dry hair before applying the color. This is a lighter hair color, so they gave purple conditioner with it that's good for up to 4 applications. I had a good experience with using this dye creme & plan to keep buying it. I bought this dye is shade 10.1 after seeing it advertised on TV. My natural hair color is dark brown but I have dyed it blonde my whole life. Recently, probably due to getting older and less time in the sun, my hair has been pulling a lot more brass color when I use my regular brand, clairol nice n easy shade 9.5A. For this application I actually did a bit more prep. The day before coloring I used the Malibu professional to remove some old color build up and minerals. I also installed a filtered shower head to prevent mineral deposits. When I prepped the hair color for use, I added 60 drops of the Ardell red and gold corrector. I applied the dye to my whole head and allowed it to process for 40 minutes and I'm shocked at how good my hair feels. I have curly hair that dries out easily but it seems fine. Also, I did not experience and damage to my scalp. My hair looks a lot less brassy than the photo shows. ... show more

This I'd day one, right after doing. Now it did wash out some more but the color seems to still be fine. We'll see as time goes, but it does stain the skin a bit. Update: 72hrs later and the color bleeds out when I wash it.

I've been using this color for the last 10+ years, and I love it. I get so many compliments on the color. I have the tendency to wash my hair often so the color doesn't last as long for me. Also my hair grows ridiculously fast. But it covers the gray and is a beautiful color. I love how it looks black in normal lighting but explodes with red color in the sunlight. It's just a fun color. I also like how this dye doesn't smell as strong as other boxes I've used in the past. It does stain easily so make sure to use old clothing or towels when applying. And I don't know what happened, but my last shipment of this color was just in a plastic bag and not the box. I was a little paranoid to use it, but it turned out fine. I would appreciate the product that I pay for show up in the correct package. That is more of a dump on Amazon than this product. ... show more

Have tried multiple brands- this one gives the best color & lasts the longest! Using it to color grays- lasts well over a month! I get migraines easily & the smell isnt too horrible- once you wash it out it doesn’t stink for days! Always get compliments on the color!

This hair color is gorgeous. Just remember it does have Keratin making your hair straight in the process. If you’re looking to keep your curls do not use. It will remove your curl pattern. It says to leave on the roots for 20 minutes like most color then add to the rest of hair. Unfortunately it left the bottom darker. Next time i will put it all over and leave it on the same amount. The package barely covered my hair. I have used another brand and it easily covered my hair because it was not so thick. My hair.
