Out of the box: SIZE This is a BIG TV! 85" and every bit of the 91lbs listed as advertised. I upgraded from the Samsung 65" 4K 3D Curve TV. Don't worry, I still have it, just moved to another room! If you're shy or concerned about the weight have this professionally installed! I mounted this on my wall. I have 9' ceilings and the wall length is 17' 3/4". I can still say, this is a BIG TV! SETUP One of the easiest setups I've havd. I 4 Samsung TV's, and 2 other smart TV's. This was the easiest to setup by far! The intuitive interface of the TV is sophisticated and yet friendly if you're willing to slow your excitement to watch your favorite movie on such a large screen. Take the time to "dial in" your picture. Follow the prompts and don't hesitate to click on "advanced" in the display menu. Here, you can really fine tune your picture! Why should you do this? This is not a QLED or an OLED TV. Don't let that fool you! This "Crystal" TV can bring you an incredible picture, able to display 1 Billion colors! You owe it to yourself to spend time in the "Display" menu and really make the adjustments to your liking! After all, this is 4K UHD TV! Before I purchased this TV, I read ever single negative review. I am convinced of a few things: This Is 2023 technology and you should really take the time to research this TV at you local store. Simple things like a "Solar Remote" and not liking the sound quality, are just a few things people complained about. I have a big room, and a big wall. Sound straight from this TV surprised me! As a studio engineer, I didn't have any expectation of "Awesome Sound". (That's why you purchase a surround sound system or a sound bar) What sound this TV delivers is quite pleasant and fills my room. If you want movie quality sound, don't blame the TV! The technology is built into the TV! Take advantage and purchase a good system and your movie experience will be complete! FINALLY This 85" 4K UHD Crystal TV is worth the money! The smart features are PLENTY! The quality of picture is incredible. Sure you could pay $3-4K more for a smaller QLED or OLED. At 85", the price point comparison simply didn't make any sense! I've already watched everything from network television to Sci-fi, and sports. I'm very picky and not easily pleased. However, this TV checked ALL the boxes. One thing to mention that I didn't post earlier: I do have home network and Hi-speed internet! 100+Meg where the TV is hooked up and it shares the connection with my Xbox X. The 120hz refresh rate is REAL and noticeable! I have a Chromecast, and Firestick also attached. I am able to say even though the reviews talk about lagging, I have experienced NONE, and with my setup, I would have experienced it for sure bu now! I highly recommend purchasing this Television if you are looking for more than just, "bang for the buck" and want to feel like you got a fantastic upgrade from your old setup! ... show more

I have the 65" TV paired to my Milan surround sound system and I have to say the sound is amazing. The picture is bright and sharp and can be adjusted to suit anyone's viewing preferences. A lot of the reviews mentioned that the remote that comes with the TV can ONLY be charged using Solar, this is NOT TRUE. The remote is also chargeable by a standard C-cable. If you would rather use your phone, then Samsung Smart Things works great as well. I bought this in January and wanted to give it at least 3 months before writing this review. Bottom line is this, if you want a great viewing experience for a decent price, then you should definitely consider purchasing this Samsung Smart TV. Now, if you are like me and check the reviews before you buy, then check out the 1 star reviews. There is a review that shouldn't be there in my opinion. There is a gentleman complaining about a line down the middle of the screen. He even provided pics. If you look closely at the pictures, you can clearly see that it is the cable from the sound bar drapped over the front of the set. Funny, think Amazon missed that one. ... show more

The visuals are quite pretty. I had to mess with the settings a bunch to get anime to play correctly (i.e. not to "smooth/correct" overmuch vs the intended frames) but overall things are noticeably beautiful on this screen. While everything has to get in via hdmi, the many analog sources we have are not that much worse off than the old flatscreen (not 4k) that we had previously which had a real analog input, even though we only use a cheap converter (maybe someday...) Anyway, I did read the other reviews that warned of bad sound, but hoped it would end up like our previous tv where reviews warned about the same thing, but it was fine... Unfortunately, they were right this time. This tv does have tinny, poorly balanced, incorrigible sound capabilities. I used the optical out with a converter to connect a $20 20-year-old desktop speaker set to it and that's much better. The only issue I have with the connection points is that the optical port being right below the hdmi port that faces directly back prevents using a nice right-angle hdmi plug on that port. I dunno, maybe there exists an upside-down one or something but even that would result in weird gravity antics for the hdmi cable. The size - I can't really fathom this size being called "small", this is definitely "main watching room size" for us - and the quality at the given price point are excellent. Hopefully it will live as long as our previous Samsung (9+ years). Overall very happy with it despite the downsides. ... show more

TV looks great physically, and the picture quality is really nice. Sound quality is also great compared to the Vizio I just upgraded from. I do find Samsung TV to be quite annoying, as I just came from Apple TV which I feel like functions really well. I'm not sure I've ever had a TV with UI that I LOVE, but when you turn the TV on and it opens the UI, it likes to show you "recently active" apps, but without fail its showing me the Samsung TV app (which I have never willingly opened on my own, I am always on the YouTube, Hulu, or Netflix apps), and it will start auto-playing with sound ON and automatically open the Samsung TV app and play whatever garbage it feels like playing. Overall I would totally recommend this TV to anyone looking for a new one. Responsiveness is great and quality is great. I just really hate the UI feature that auto-plays sound and auto-opens a TV app I never use. ... show more
