This birthday banner in basic gold and white adds a lot of glitz and sparkle to the "Happy Birthday" message. The glitter effect of the gold background is great because it doesn't shed and make a glittery mess to clean up. I really like these because I'm a fan of pre-assembled party decorations since it really saves time with set-up. The two banners are independent of each other and come with an enormous amount of ribbon strung through them, so there is not an issue with it being too short to hang on a large wall. I had a little difficulty with the fairy lights managing the tiny on/off switch which I find a little awkward, but think I have that mastered now and think the lights add a nice touch to the banner. ... show more

I picked this out for a family member who was unhappy they were stuck in the hospital on their birthday (who wouldn't be). I thought it was great, it allowed me to add instant cheer. I think for the price what you get is pretty good value when you consider its not just the gold glittery cardboard letters but also the fairy lights to give it a little extra pizazz. It was worth it for the one use, but it held up pretty awesome, still looks good as new so put it back in its bag and will probably get a few more birthdays out of it. ... show more
