I bought this straightener to replace my old Revlon 10" straightener. It works well and heats up fast; I like the precise temperature controls, and the hinge closes and locks for storage. At 11.5" long, it's too large and clunky for travel. I keep a small dual voltage iron in my suitcase for that. After looking at many brands and models, this one is a good choice. My only complaint: the temperature lock feature only works temporarily while it's on. You cannot turn the iron off while it's locked, and your preferred temperature does not carry over the next time you turn it on. I hoped I could lock it to keep my preferred temperature. So what's the point of even having this feature? For this reason I am giving this iron 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise it's great. Also, I highly recommend reading the instructions - it was hard to figure out at first. ... show more
